Cars kill just as many people in the US as guns. This makes using a vehicle as a weapon is a perfect method of clandestine warfare and terrorism since such attacks are almost never prosecuted as first degree murder or terrorism outside of Israel, which such attacks occur daily as obvious terrorist attacks.

Many of these incidents appear to use DUI, elderly driving, health issue, drugs, argument or texting as an excuse for deliberate acts of terror. Some are combined with stopping to attack or stab people or engage police in gunfire. In Israel or Canada these are often just terrorist attacks, no one suspects this could also be a hidden motive to "accidents" in the United States such as a half-blind driver accidentally hitting two Army recuiters and dragging one for miles in Minnesota.

Which kills more? Guns or cars? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2013, 33,804 people died from motor vehicle traffic accidents — and 33, 636 died from firearms.  They kill the same number of people.  I was really surprised by this statistic — mostly because of how we differently we think about safety with each.

Vehicular manslaughter[edit]

This section contains those cases where only vehicles were used to attack people. Since it may be quite difficult to distinguish accidents, or cases of reckless driving from those incidents where the driver, or pilot, had the intention to harm others, only those cases are included where it is clear that the vehicle was applied as a weapon and crashed deliberately into people, other vehicles, or buildings. Also, those cases where a rampage killer used an armed vehicle, such as a tank, or a fighter aircraft, to shoot others are listed here.

Wikipedia: Vehicle based attacks[edit]

In the 2000s, there have been a number of vehicle based attacks in which terrorists usedearthmovers or other motor vehicles to run over pedestrians or to attack vehicles.[16] Some examples of such attacks include the 2006 Jerusalem bulldozer attack and the Omeed Aziz Popal SUV rampage.
Compared to suicide-bomb attacks, using vehicles as weapons is easier to plan and carry out without detection. The tactic does not require acquiring explosives. The weapon, a standard street-legal vehicle, is readily available in the target country and can be used without raising suspicion. According to a report by Stratfor global intelligence, using a vehicle as a terrorist tactic is nearly as effective, yet not as destructive as a suicide bombing.[16]

How to tell if a collision is not an accident:

  • Cross Median – is used when a vehicle completely crosses the median and enters the shoulder or travel lane on the opposite side of a divided highway.
  • Cross Centerline – is used for a vehicle that crosses over the center line of a two-way, undivided highway.
  • Rear end cars waiting for traffic light with speeding vehicle
  • Rear end left-turning vehicle into opposing traffic
  • Failure to yield to pedestrian and run them over on the turn
  • Sun was in eyes
  • Blacked out after hit
  • Hit and run
  • Drive with person embedded on windshield for miles
  • Drive with person dragging for miles
  • Crashing into Store entrance
  • Crashing then assaulting people in building
  • Crashing through end of road into wall or another highway

    • Aug 1, 1991 Palm Springs California. A bus carrying Girl Scouts from around the country and Europe lost its brakes on a mountain road and tumbled down a rocky slope. Four teens, the driver and two adult chaperons were killed. This was the most severe ever on the road. ap
    • May 18, 1995 Shawn Timothy Nelson was a U.S. Army veteran and unemployed plumber who stole an M60A3 Patton tank from a United States National Guard Armory in San Diego,California, and went on a rampage on , destroying cars, fire hydrants, and a recreational vehicle before being shot and killed by police. Nelson had told a friend that he was thinking of committing suicide, and the following weekend, told a friend that "Oklahoma was good stuff,"[3] in apparent reference to the Oklahoma City bombing but police did not believe Nelson had any connection with the bombing or terrorists despite his terrorist sympathies.
    • June 7, 1998 Murder of James Byrd, Jr. dragged  for three miles behind apick-up truck along an asphalt road.. 
    • July 16, 2003 George Russell Weller 2003 Santa Monica Farmer's Market Rampage left 10 dead and 63 hurt, after then 86-year-old George Ressell Weller's car roared through the farmers market. He ran over barriers, hit a car, then accelerated around a road closure sign, crashed through wooden sawhorses, and plowed through the busy marketplace crowd, hitting a Jewish Iranians grandmother and grandson in a stroller and Movsha Hoffman, who was a 78-year-old Lithuanian Jewish immigrant. Weller, who attended a Presbyterian church later apologized, but was convicted of of 10 counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. Anti-semitic apologists who were convinced he was just old and did not mean any harm may shed light on his true motives.
    • June 4, 2004 Marvin Heemeyer muffler shop owner created an improvised armored bulldozer to demolish the town hall and other buildings in Granby, Colorado. He fired 15 bullets from his rifle at power transformers and propane tanks, and knocked out  natural gas service. The rampage ended when the bulldozer got stuck and Heemeyer killed himself with a handgun. Primary alleged motivation in his own words was his fight to stop a concrete plant from being built near his shop.
    • December 18, 2005 Ali R. Warrayat Drives Car Into Home Depot December 18, 2005. In Chandler, Arizona 24-year-old Ali R. Warrayat crashed through the doors of the Home Depot at 6 a.m, slammed into the flammable paints and and ignited the blaze with a lighter. Hen then headed for the exit, sweeping merchandise from the shelves and waited for police to arrest him. 
    • August 30, 2006, Omeed Aziz Popal, originally of Afghanistan, is alleged to have intentionally struck 18 pedestrians in the San Francisco Bay Area with his black Honda Pilot SUV and faces a murder charge and 19 counts of attempted murder.[1][2] Popal was 29 at the time of the attack.     • 2007 Steven Warrichaiet was sentenced to 15 years in prison for hitting another person, and 50 year old Tyrone Ware whose dead body was also stuck in his windshield as he drove home, and left the body in the garage.
    • June 8, 2008, in the Akihabara shopping quarter for electronics, video games and comics in Sotokanda, Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. A man hit a crowd with a truck, eventually killing three people and injuring two; he then stabbed at least 12 people
    • July 2, 2008, Husam Tayseer Dwayat, an Arab Israeli citizen construction worker drove an earthmover slamming into a bus and passing cars. Four people were killed and another 45 were injured. The Israeli Ministry of Defence demolished the house of Dwayat as punishment. The Jerusalem Post described him as a a “terrorist”  but Dwayat’s father insisted his son was a “murderer, not a terrorist” who had simply gone amok, and heard rumours that  “students had thrown stones at him and cursed him at the construction site”.
    • July 2, 2008 Jerusalem bulldozer attack Arab resident of east Jerusalem Hussam Taysir Duwait attacked several cars using a front-end loader killing three people and wounding at least thirty other pedestrians, before being shot to death. A motive for the attack could not immediately be determined, but police at the scene referred to the incident as a terrorist attack.[5] Three copycat attacks have occurred since then.
    • November 2008 In China a man who drove his truck into a crowded schoolyard on Wednesday in Guangdong province, killing five people and injuring 20 others, did so "because he was tired of life". He was on the verge of divorce and his grandfather suffered from mental illness. He hit more than a dozen students as he drove across the school. When Luo ignored warning, a police officer opened fire. Luo died at the scene and his truck stopped after colliding with a parked van, the statement said. Luo killed four students and a 49-year-old man.
    • September 22, 2008 Jerusalem BMW attack a Palestinian drove a large BMW sedan nto a group of off-duty soldiers, injuring 19. Stratfor Global Intelligence analysts called this a new militant tactic which is less lethal but could prove more difficult to prevent than suicide bombings.
    • March 4, 2009 Two police officers  wounded in Jerusalem when an Arab bulldozer driver named Marei Radaydeh overturned their police car and rammed it into a bus, before being shot by police and a taxi driver. A copy of the Koran had been found in the bulldozer after the attack, and that the driver had not been carrying any identification.     • June26, 2009 Basij Truck Drives Through Crowd large crowd of Iranians gathered in a public area. when a truck - supposedly driven by members of the Basij (pro-government militia brownshirts) revs its engine and starts to drive right through the crowd.
    • April 30, 2009 In the Netherlands a man drives at high speed apparently targeting the bus carrying Queen Beatrix. But instead, his real target was mowing through a crowd killing 5, 4 immediately. After hitting a monument, he confesses he was targeting the queen. He had been fired from his job and had been about to be evicted but his "motive is unclear". Eight of the 13 injured were in serious condition, with two men and two women killed. A third man died of his injuries. Two teenagers and a 9-year-old girl were among the severely injured. fox 
    • February 2010  In Tianjin municipality China 10 people dead and 11 injured as Zhang Yimin drove a bus into pedestrians and cyclists as he tried to escape from police after stabbing a co-worker, similar to Aug 1. News notes at same time there are stabbing rampages with 17 people killed –– including 15 children –– and more than 80 injured in the attacks.
    • August 1, 2010 Hebei province China: Eight people were killed outright and 20 more were injured, 3 died later of injuries. There were reports that the man involved had been drinking. Li Xianliang, a driver at a Coal Depot argued with a client and tried to kill him. He then took a bulldozer smashing vehicles and buildings at his workplace. He crashed into more than a dozen on the highway including houses and shops.  
    • August 7, 2010 3 Arizona Detention Officers Killed in Head-On Collision who were on their way to work when they were killed in a head-on collision with a pickup truck with sheared off the top of the vehicle. The driver of the truck was critically injured.

    • August 29, 2011 Tel Aviv nightclub attack was a combined vehicle attack and stabbing attack. A Palestinian attacker stole a taxi cab and rammed it into a police checkpoint guarding a nightclub in Tel Aviv  After crashing into the checkpoint, the attacker jumped out of the vehicle and began stabbing several people. Five civilians and four police officers were injured in the attack.[4]

    • January 27, 2012  FREDERICK, Md. - A Poolesville man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for driving his pickup truck into a crowd at a drag-racing track in Monrovia last June. His brother and Wachter had gotten into an argument at Dragway a year earlier. One man was bruised and developed a blood clot.
    • Hader Nasim Vehicle Accident For Hire Sep 14, 2012 Hader Nasim, 30, was taken into custody after he told an undercover detective he thought was a hit man to find his pregnant wife and " run her over, back up on her, and you just stay on top of her” Nasim said they were having marital difficulties, and he’d already been through one divorce and another would have been culturally unacceptable for him.
    • 5 injured in Midtown car crash - New York News Sep 16, 2012 - Five people were hurt after a Mercedes crashed into a hotel shuttle van. The driver of the Mercedes, who was apparently drunk and driving without a licence and broadsided the van around 4:45 a.m. as it ran through a red light. 
    • 2 injured 1 critical October 26, 2012 Elderly Woman Accidentally Rams Canoga Target Back Door At the Canoga Park, California Target, an elderly woman driving a new BMW 3 series down the ramp from the garage towards a T intersection with a stop sign. But she blew through the stop sign and "threaded a needle" by crashing straight through the narrow emergency doors and drove deep into the electronics section, injuring two shoppers, one critically. Police and the woman's son were leaning towards pedal confusion. None speculated it could have been a deliberate attack.
    • January 13, 2013 A black Lincoln Town Car driven by an elderly man crashed directly into an Apple Store in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. It crashed through the front glass door and came to rest about four feet inside the store. No one was hurt. Huffpost
    • Guam Tumon stabbings and car rampage February 12, 2013 in Tumon, Guam's tourism district 21-year-old Chad Ryan Desoto started revving his engine of his his blue Toyota Yaris, and drove onto the sidewalk, mowing down two Japanese couples and then another 300 yards through a crowd of tourists. He crashed into a store and started stabbing people, killing 3 and injuring 11 others, including an 8-month-old infant and a three year old toddler. Gov. Eddie Calvo reached out to the Japanese Consulate to help victims’ families. A 28-year-old woman and an elderly 82-year-old woman died from stab wounds. Desoto was a local actor who told police he wanted to injure as many people as possible, but no motive was established. The attack echoed the Akihabara massacre where a truck ran over people and the driver ran out to stab the crowd. 
    • February 2, 2013 A bus based at and headed back to Tijuana Mexico had its brakes fail in driving down winding California mountains after suddenly speeding up and hitting other cars. Seven were killed and 3 dozen injured.  AP
    • February 22, 2013 Manila, Phillippines. Seven college students are killed when their modern tour bus lots its brakes and crashed into a truck and another bus on a windy road.
    • March 3, 2013 Julio Acevedo BMW slammed a borrowed nearly new 2010 BMW into a cab at 60 mph, killing Nachman and pregnant Raizy Glauber, both 21, at an intersection in the Orthodox Jewish Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn New York. Their son who survived was born prematurely but died later. He claimed he was fleeing a gunman trying to shoot at him, and fled to avoid being shot. Asked if he was played a part “'Sure I played a part, I couldn't stop. Accidents happen'”
    • March 8, 2013 Bangalore India. Transit bus runs a red light, rams an SUV then mows down 3 women who were returning from their Orthodox Christian church. Traffic police said the driver fled and that it was a brake failure and did not file a complaint with the driver.     • March 18, 2013 presstv drunk Saudi embassy staffer rammed his vehicle into a Iranian car, killing the driver  before veering off the road. Four bottles of alcoholic beverage were found in the employee’s car. Drinking alcohol is forbidden in Islam. He was barred from leaving the country pending further investigation.
    • April 4, 2013 Woman dies after being hit by wrong-way driver on Hwy. 520 woman was hit by Ford Explorer with DUI driver who reversed direction and started driving the wrong way
    • April 5, 2013 Iranian pilgrims were waiting for the airport transfer bus in Saudi Arabia when a service truck went out of control due to mechanical problems and drove through the walls and windows to mow down waiting travelers, killing two and injuring two others. The driver from Nepal was arrested and investigated.
    • May 6, 2013 Kirkland, Washington USA. Bus driver Aleksandr Rukhlin lost all brakes as he didn't slow down from the exit and rammed a small Ford Escape SUV, killing both occupants with a loud bang. Later inspections found no problems, and experts say buses have fail safe systems to prevent any such brake failure. The driver was put on paid administrative leave, and was unwilling to speak to the press. Several passengers said they believed his story, no foul play was suspected.
    • May 11, 2013 Port Angeles Bulldozer spree damages four houses  and destroys at least one vehicle, and causing a major power outage to thousands of customers to Sequim. Man arrested for malicious mischief.
    • May 14, 2013 Hanin Bassem Al-Ja’bary, 7, was injured after an Israeli settler rammed her with his vehicle close to the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the Old City of Hebron. The settler fled the scene
    • May 19, 2013 In northeastern Pennsylvania township of Coolbaugh on 1:15 a.m. taxi Driver Michael West allegedly lost control of his taxi, and collided head-on with a fire police van. West was killed and four emergency responders were hurt. Investigators believe the taxi which was carrying no passengers accidentally slid into the path of the oncoming Coolbaugh Township fire police van.     • Hudson River Boat Crash Kills Bride July 26, 2013 Bride-to-be Lindsey Stewart and a friend were killed when a powerboat struck a barge near the Tappan Zee Bridge north of New York City. All four who were not thrown from the boat suffered head injuries. The Jojo K. John, 35, was arrested and charged with manslaughter and operating the boat while intoxicated.
      2 Cars Crash Into Christian Day Care Center in Kansas City July 30, 2013 In Kansas City, a Range Rover rear-ended a parked Cadillac Seville which smashed through the front wall of the 2 year old room at the Christian Academy day care center in the afternoon. 2 adults were hut and 3 children were seriously injured. It is highly unusual for an "accident" when the Range Rover made a left hand towards the front of the building in the middle of the block to hit a Cadillac with a driver who some said appeared to be backing up or parking so that it was ready to be rammed into the front of the building. Bystanders help pull out the two children who were trapped under the Cadillac. About 40 children were inside the center. Police say the SUV driver was "approximately 80" years old, while the the driver of the Cadillac fled, but was later found. Evidently it was ruled an accident and not a deliberate coordinated attack as neither of the drivers was identified or charged with any traffic violation.

    • August 3, 2013 Venice Beach Boardwalk Attack 38 yr old Nathan Campbell deliberately drove a car through a crowd at the Venice Beach boardwalk, injuring 11 and killing 1 recent bride, and then turned himself in. He was a homeless transient who bought the late model Dodge Avenger in Colorado. Police are searching for a motive since terrorism was quickly ruled out.
    • August 7, 2013  Truck crashes fence at JBER Alaska Air Force Base In Anchorage Alaska, a stolen truck rammed a police patrol car, ran over a spike strip and rammed the fence at Joint military Base Elemendorf-Richardson before being caught on foot by police. The driver and a passenger were injured in the crash.

The pickup driver was killed. The bus drove into the desert. Bus driver Jimmy Ming Giang, suffered major injuries and airlifted to Las Vegas, four bus passengers and the tour bus guide received minor injuries.

    • Towncar Clips Minivan in Kirkland Rollover Crash August 27, 2013 Kirkland, Washington. Emil Rafikov (common Russian name) age 29 was speeding in a black Lincoln Towncar (standard color for limousines for hire often driven by immigrants) when he allegedly lost control, and clipped (or rammed) the back of a Dodge Caravan before rolling over his Towncar and landing in a ditch. The Caravan was totaled but the woman was not injured. Rafikov was booked into King County jail for investigation of vehicular assault. Drugs and alcohol were factors in the crash.
    • Preston Carter 100 Year Old Driver Hits 11 near Los Angeles School August 29, 2013 In Los Angeles, elderly 100-year-old Preston Carter says his brakes failed and lost control of his Cadillac when he backed out of a supermarket onto a sidewalk and plowed into a group of parents and children outside a South Los Angeles elementary school. Nine children and two adults were injured in the wreck. It was being investigated as an accident, and Carter was not charged or arrested and had a valid licence. 
    • Bellevue Audi on Meth Rams and Kills BMW Driver September 12, 2013 Bellevue, Washington: At 10 p.m. 911 was getting calls of an Audi with his wife weaving through traffic at up to 150 miles per hour. The driver Samuel C. Sampson told police he was "bored I guess" and high on meth when slammed into the rear of a BMW which swerved and rolled over several times before bursting into flames, trapping and killing the driver. He had fought with his wife who followed him into the car, and he had tried to push her out of the car onto the freeway. Two other vehicles were hit, injuring three, and blocking all lanes of I 405 for hours. The Audi driver, an unemployed computer programmer was expected to be charged with vehicular homicide.

He had broken into the locked cabin to find the keys. He went on a rampage ramming other boats and docks before citizen Dve Svensen borrowed a gun and wounded him in the face and hands with a shotgun because he was about to hit a boat where someone lived aboard. He was hospitalized having caused an estimated $483,000 damage.
    • Vehicle Assault on Roseville Army Recruiters September 17, 2013  52-year-old Enrico Darius Taylor of St. Paul ran over 2 Army recruiters in the Rosedale mall parking lot in his Jeep Cherokee just as they were reaching their front door was they were returning from lunch. Staff Sgt. Michael Stroud went over the hood, but Sgt. First Class Travis Torgerson's leg got caught in the undercarriage. Despite calls for help, Taylor continued to drive, dragging Torgenson for nearly one mile and suffering a broken leg before the SUV stopped. Police are trying to determine a motive, and have not linked the incident to a shooting attack on recruiters in Little Rock Arkansas in 2009 
    • Man Saves Drunk Who Crashes His Parked Car Head On Sunday September 22, 2013 David Jensen pulled his SUV over near Grand Forks, N.D., and turned on his flashers in the night to send a text. Then Tracy Ludwig, 49, of Fisher, Minn for "no known reason" crossed over the dividing line and evidently without taking careful aim, crashed head on into the only vehicle she could have hit for miles. Jensen quickly gained his senses after his air bag went off, and dragged the injured woman out of her now burning car just moments before it exploded. The woman faces a recovery and a drunken-driving allegation, but evidently won't be charged with vehicular assault.
    • NYC Motorcycle Gang Assaults SUV Driver September 29, 2013 Alexian Lien was celebrating his second anniversary with his wife and baby girl in his Range Rover when he was stopped by a group of motorcycles who executed a "brake check" to Lien to slow him to a stop. As they damaged his tires, he stepped on the gas, driving over one rider. Chased across town, when he stopped the bikers smashed his windows and beat him, as other bikers were trying to pull out the wife and daughter. Lien was treated for stitches and treatment of injuries to his face, while the motorcyclists posted a video complaining they had been attacked by a "reckless" and a "maniac" driver, and asking for justice for a hospitalized biker.
    • Mexican Monster Truck Mows Down Crowd October 5, 2013 In Chihuahua Mexico, an out-of-control monster truck with 5 ft wheels shot into a crowd of spectators at an air show, killing eight people and hurting 79. Alcohol was detected on the breath of driver, and he tested positive for alcohol use. On a second pass, the truck hit hard on a second car before veering off into the stands, damaging a semi-truck and mowing down spectators. Officials believe it could have been caused by mechanical failure Some witnesses say the driver lost control after he hit his head and his helmet came off. No media accounts mentioned the possibility of a terrorist incident.
    Monday October 21, 2013 Drunk driver flees police, wrong-way head on crashes into truck  55-year-old Edmonds man tried to avoid arrest for drunken driving and wound up dead, injured an 86-year-old driver and two Snohomish County sheriff's deputies. The suspect crossed the center lane and hit the white truck head on, and then spun around and hit a guardrail.  One squad car hit the suspect, then the other squad car slammed into both vehicles. The suspect driver died at the scene.

     Lodi Five Car Crash by DUI Vodka Driver October 22, 2013 In Lodi, California, six were killed including an unborn child, and 12 injured including critical injuries to a 9-year-old. Five members of a family, including a pregnant woman were among the killed. Suspect Ryan Christopher Morales, 28, had an identification card issued Oct. 7, less than a month after he was released from prison but had no licence, and claimed to have drunk a bottle of vodka with his father before the crash, and was seen operating his cellphone. he was found pinned in his front seat of his large Yukon SUV smelling of alcohol. Officials intended to file murder charges.

    Menlo Park Sikh couple mowed down by drunk who also hit car  October 24, 2013 54-year-old Marjorie Reitzell who has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction drifted into the bike lane on Chilco Road and struck 45-year-old Kamal Singh and 50-year-old Balbir Singh from behind, throwing the couple into the air and killing them, orphaning their three teen children. She then crossed the lane divider and struck a car head-on carrying four teenagers and stopped when she crashed into a tree. 

    Jeep Plows Through Sidewalk At Tiananmen Square in China Monday October 28, 2013 At about noon in Beijing's Tinanmen Square, a jeep squeezed by the only opening in a barrier, entered a sidewalk and drove nearly 500 yards driving over tourists and police, until it hit a column near the portrait of Mao Tse-tung and caught fire. The driver and two passengers were killed. Casualties were later revised to five dead and 38 injured. The Los Angeles Times speculated that circumstances indicated it was a deliberate attack at one of the most closely guarded locations in China. In 2009 three people set themselves on fire in a car at the Wangfujing pedestrian mall in protest. Pictures of the incident as well as evidence of fire were soon scrubbed from view, and there was no mention of the evening television news. By the next day, officials had concluded that the vehicle had a banner, they had set the vehicle afire themselves, and it was probably Beijing's first major suicide attack as they had no plan to escape. Police were seeking persons and licence plates of ethnic Uighur suspects persons from the Xinjiang which has been the scene of ethnic / religious riots. By October 30, Beijing identified the incident as the first such vehicle rampage firmly linked to a terrorist motive.

    Speeding Car Slams Into 3 Stopped Cars Killing 2 November 3, 2013 2 killed when cars are rear-ended at Minneapolis stoplight A speeding car slammed into a line of three vehicles stopped at a Minneapolis traffic light early 1:25 a.m. Sunday morning, killing two people in a chain-reaction crash. It was assumed to be an accident, but could be a deliberate attack. 

    MNDOT Worker Mowed Down By No Licence No Insurance Open Bottle Driver November 3, 2013 A driver was arrested for driving without insurance or licence, giving false information to police and having an open bottle after he struck a Minnesota Department of Transportation employee was struck by a car while cleaning debris on Interstate 94. The worker suffered serious injuries.

    East LA Murderer Crosses Traffic To Mow Down 2 At Bus Shelter Nov 7, 2013 An SUV either lost control or deliberately steered into opposing traffic and onto a sidewalk before crashing into a bus shelter critically striking two people. The driver who fled with a small child was identified and contacted by police, but did not turn himself in.

    DUI Truck Crashes Fairchild Air Force Base Fence December 1, 2013 Near Spokane, Washington, a 22 year old woman Arika McDowell lost control of her truck for unknown reasons, crashed through the fence for Fairchild Air Force base and was stopped by security forces. McDowell was arrested for DUI and Reckless Endangerment because she had a 14-year-old passenger who was injured in the crash.

    Fatal NH Median Crossing Crash Was a Suicide Attempt December 7, 2013 Former Fortune 500 executive Robert Dellinger told police a cover story that he was only trying to kill himself when he drove his pickup truck across the grassy median of a highway and slammed into an SUV. It went airborne and sheared off the top of the other car, killing an expectant couple in connection with the crash, which killed 29-year-old Jason Timmons, 24-year-old Amanda Murphy, who was eight months pregnant and their unborn child, all from Vermont. Dellinger is charged with reckless manslaughter. Dellinger argued with his wife over his medications, left the house and began to drive around, growing despondent.

    December 10, 2013 REVERE, Massachusetts (CBS) – A woman was struck and killed by a hit and run driver in Revere Tuesday night. She was struck and dragged by a vehicle at about 7:15 p.m. The vehicle left the scene.

    December 18, 2013 Driver rolls over onto freeway causes bizarre collisions Malibu driven by 24 year-old Christopher K. Wittman of Tukwila blew through a stop sign down a dead-end street and over a ravine onto Highway 509 where it was struck by a vehicle driven by a husband and wife, and then three other cars if not a fourth. Wittman ran away from the scene after the crash and likely faces vehicular assault charges.

A group of unidentified men got out and broke the rear window of her car. "They then pulled her from the car, beat her and left her in a ditch," police said in a statement. No group took credit but it was widely assumed to be intimidation by the government, not a just random crime

    December 31, 2013 Uber Driver Syed Muzzafar Crash Kills 6 Yr Old Girl On New Years Eve,  Syed Muzzafar, a 57-year-old Uber driver from Union City ran over 6 year old San Francisco resident Sophia Liu who was struck along with another child and a woman. The 6 year old died while the woman suffered life-threatening injuries while the other child is expected to survive. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and failure to yield to pedestrians. Jihad watch notes it is another one of a series of possibly intentional attacks by Arabs and Muslims.

    January 4, 2014 Man Pursued, Shot by SUV In Apparent Road Rage Timothy "Asti" Davison called 911 to say that he was followed by a Ford Ranger pickup truck that was shooting at him and forced him off the road in Maryland. He was found wounded off the road in Pennsylvania and died later. Police believe that motive was random road rage, and there are no leads on the shooter. No one has suspected a connection to terrorism

    January 10, 2014 NYC cab hits and kills 9 yr old son of radiation oncologist who treated Giulani. Dr. Richard Stock cried out in horror after the cab hit young Cooper as it made a left turn. Richard suffered a leg injury, and his son were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where Cooper was pronounced dead. A half hour earlier just two blocks away, another 73-year-old man was killed after being dragged along the pavement by a green charter bus in a separate apparently unrelated accident two blocks away. Both the bus driver and the cab driver stayed at the scene but neither was charged.

    January 18, 2013 Wisconsin Driver Hits and Ignores Cyclist On Windshield Cyclist Steven Gove was struck by a driver in Wisconsin who continued to drive with the man impaled on his windshield. He ran a stop sign and crashed into another car before returning home, apparently drunk.

    January 20, 2014 Tomas Mondares Run Over By Parolee On Drugs In National City near San Diego California, Tomas Mondares, a 89 old that was about to visit the Philippines was run over by a car driven by Kevin Moore. Moore was on parole and claims he lost control of his car and veered onto the sidewalk. He stopped and waited for police, and now faces charges of driving under the influence of drugs.

    February 8, 2014 27 (17 killed, 10 injured)  A truck which was stolen with Brazilian licence plates travelling in the wrong direction appeared to deliberately ram a bus head-on in the Argentine province of Mendoza. (EFE via Fox News) 

     February 9, 2014: Two California and Florida Wrong Way Crashes Kill 11 Five people were killed at about 2 a.m. on Interstate 275 in Tampa in a collision when a Ford Expedition SUV speeding on the wrong side of the freeway hit a Hyundai Sonata filled with 4 University of South Florida students. All were killed. One driver driving the correct direction filmed the crash which is circulating on the internet. The same day, there was another wrong-way driver in Diamond Bar, California. when Olivia Culbreath, age 21 killed six people drove her 2013 Chevy Camaro the wrong way while speeding at 100 mph and DUI. She hit a Ford Explorer head-on before dawn and was arrested, and faces 6 counts of murder.

    February 11, 2014  10 Year Old Girl Crashes Car Into Denver DMV Office A 10 year old girl put her mother's SUV into gear and drove it through the front window into the Division of Motor Vehicles office in Denver Colorado.

    February 12, 2014 NYC Stolen Box Truck Crashes Into Bus In New York City, a stolen box truck driven by truck driven by model/actor Tyson Beckford’s nephew sideswiped a taxi and hit a scooter before it slammed into a city bus at an intersection. Both vehicles crashed into a building and the bus driver was ejected, killing the veteran bus driver and injured 5 others including the truck driver. 22-year-old Dominic Whilby of Griffin, Ga., was arrested. Bus driver, William Pena was the first city bus driver killed in a collision in more than 14 years.

    Cement truck hits bus in Pittsburgh, 10 hurt  Washington Times February 13, 2014 A cement truck rear-ended a bus and toppled over in downtown Pittsburgh, sending 10 to the hospital with minor pain complaints.

    February 13, 2014 Snow Bulldozer Drives Carelessly and Kills Pregnant Woman A driver of a small bobcat bulldozer removing snow from the Fei Long market in Brooklyn killed a pregnant woman Min Lin, 36, while driving in reverse. A witness said the driver was driving erratically speeding up and down the sidewalks as if he was going to eventually hit somebody.

He was scheduled to peform as a rapper but after being stopped at a DWI checkpoint, he sped away in his stolen car, almost hitting a police officer, then went the wrong way on Ninth Street, plowed through a barricade on Red River Street, and hit the people in the crowd. He also struck a taxi and drove onto a curb and into a parking lot before hitting a van, then the jumped out and ran. “This is an individual that committed an intentional act,” Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said His cover story he told authorities was he’d lost control, and “drove off because he didn’t know he had to call police.”

    March 18, 2014 Pickup Rampage Runs Over Man After Movie Argument The men's discussion of the film grew more heated as the three left the theater and went to the parking lot after the late Sunday evening film. Investigators believe it was intentional murder, and he was charged with murder after one of his victims died.

He was found with 4 handguns with 400 rounds of ammunition. He first stabbed 3 men his Chinese roommates and a visitor at a house before his cross-town drive-by killing spree targeting a sorority, deli, gunfights with deputies and church service often driving on the wrong side of the road, running down four people on foot and bicycle with his car. His of half-Chinese as a his mother is Malaysian Chinese Li Chin. His father is Peter Rodger who was an assistant director for The Hunger Games movie, and his stepmother is from the Arab/Muslim nation of Morocco. This was a terrorist-style attack by a person with no proven connection to any terrorist groups or motive.

    5 casualties 2 killed 3 injured Cajon Pass Dump Truck Loses Brakes Crushes Teens in PT Cruiser June 24, 2014 At Cajon Pass near Los Angeles, California a woman subcontractor driving a Caltrans dump truck dump truck carrying wet cement that lost control of its brakes while exiting the freeway. It  drove across Highway 138,  and a hit PT Cruiser pushing over an embankment and under the truck where it was completely crushed in a Shell gas station parking lot. The small PT Cruiser was carrying two Serrano High School students and three recent grads back from a trip to Huntington Beach  2 were killed and three were injured. One student had just graduated from high school. Recent-grad Nicole Lyle, 18, and 16-year-old John Cabrera were pronounced dead at the scene Their three male friends were transported in critical condition to the hospital  The female driver of the dump truck was not injured in the crash

    1 grandmother killed  , 1 suspect arrested  June 26, 2014 Douglasville Silverado Intentionally Rams, Runs Over Grandmother in Navigator: In Douglasville, Georgia, 23 yr old Dewey Calhoun Green was surrounded by motorists and stopped after he repeatedly rear-ended a Lincoln Navigator stopped at a light with his late model $30,000 pickup truck, and then floored it and  crushed driver and grandmother Janice Pitts when she got out to look at the damage. Green was charged with murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and had been arrested before for non-violent drug charges. Police believed "he wasn't in his right mind" and wanted to check for influence driving or a medical condition.

    3 killed, 7 injured in 2 unconnected crashes Two Tesla Crashes in Los Angeles July 4, 2014 There were two apparently unconnected crashes of Tesla cars that received wide coverage on the same day, July 4. One was stolen near midnight from a dealer in West Hollywood. After a 100 mph police chase, it was sliced in two after it hit a light pole, with the back end hitting the entrance to a Jewish synagogue, and shattered batteries sparking like fireworks. The driver who was driving as if he were on some kind of a suicide mission was ejected through the windshield but survived. Another Model S rear-ended a Toyota Corolla in Palmdale, Calif., killing the Toyota's driver and two child passengers. Tesla shares were down after a weekend with two major crashes, one fatal of an involved vehicle.

    4 cars hit, 1 injured/shot 1 arrested February 9, 2015  Terrorist style gunman multiple car crash chase, carjack, police shooting in Los Angeles Police ran the plate on a new Toyota Camry, and tried to pull it over when they found out it was stolen. The driver fled and sped through traffic in Los Angeles, South Gate and Huntington Park, sometimes driving on the wrongside and smashing into at least at least four vehicles. Then when the car was stopped by a head-on crash, he fled, produced a gun and carjacked another car before it was wedged between two cars, and he was shot by police after he fled on foot, and ended up in the hospital in stable condition. Alleged gang member and parolee Aaron Lorta of Los Angeles was booked on suspicion of carjacking.

No motive Lakeisha Holloway Accused in Las Vegas Baby On Board Terrorist Style Vehicle Rampage A 24-year-old Oregon woman had her 3-year-old daughter in the car when she allegedly intentionally drove her 1996 Oldsmobile onto a sidewalk and into dozens of pedestrians Sunday night on the Las Vegas strip, as she would drive back on the curve to hit more people. One person was killed. After the attack, she drove to a casino, left her toddler in the car, and told a valet parker she had run over some people and requested that he call 911.  Deputy Chief Zimmerman announced "This was not an act of terrorism. Initial investigation appears this was intentional" but others said that terror could not be completely ruled out either.  It is said that she was stressed out by being homeless and living in her car and hassled by people who would let her park. She may have had some conflict with the father of her child, and that she wanted others to feel the hurt in her life. One of her cousins, LaShay Hardaway, said she was a successful, overachiever and this wasn’t something she would ever do. Holloway reportedly told police “I am hurting, and I want others to feel pain!” and she gave a motive to authorities which they were not "comfortable" releasing but it did not indicate any connection to terrorism.
