Wildfires ---

Wildfires can be set by arsonists and terrorists

Jan 17, 2014 nbcbayarea: Registered arsonists, like registered sex offenders, must log in at their city police departments if they have been convicted of arson. The list is maintained by the California Department of Justice, which notes in its annual report that  7,500 properties were destroyed by arson in 2012 compared to 11,400 in 2007. In the same time period, 940 people were arrested statewide on arson charges in 2012, compared to 1,030 in 2007. (PDF)

Year 2014

(possible) September 15, 2014 Wildfire razes homes, other buildings in Weed,Calif. (3 injuries, 150 buildings destroyed or damaged including 2 churches, factory)  Los Angeles Times The fire  in Weed, near Mt. Shasta was relatively small, scorching only 375 acres, yet it destroyed or damaged 150 buildings, tearing at some of the town's most important institutions. The fire consumed two churches, a library and a community organization that aided the poor. Machinery at the town's mill was destroyed, but it skirted the downtown. The fire began just south of town. NBCnews: The modest Holy Family Catholic Church was reduced to a pile of charred rubble, with the outlines of a cross visible on a section of wall left standing. There has been no speculation as to whether a terrorist could have set the fire. 3 Injuries Reported on Boles Fire | KDRV There is an Evacuation Order for the community of Weed. An arson investigation has begun today, however, the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office said that is normal procedure for any fire to help determine the cause.

(deliberate, but motive not proven) September 13, 2014Wildfire threatening Leavenworth WA likely human-caused The U.S. Forest Service is trying to find out who ignited a fire near downtown Leavenworth, which quickly consumed more than 20 acres. It was still burning Sunday evening very close to homes and businesses.Fire investigators are quite sure it was started Saturday night by a person or a group, up on a hillside about a half mile from downtown. Residents suspected carelessness, but nobody speculated it could have been a terrorist attack. On Monday, another fire starting near a town destroyed much of Weed California.

The fire which is suspected to have been set by Arab arsonists in a deliberate attack on the town, spread quickly towards the community due to the oppressive heat and winds. January 8-12 2014 San Jose Serial Arsonist Sets Dozen Fires in a Week Greater Saint John Baptist Church on E. San Antonio St. in San Jose was damagedby arson, and another fire was set on the property on Sunday January 12. A series of fires have been evidently set by the same person in the Roosevelt, Little Portugal, Wooster and Five Wounds neighborhoods, as well as the eastern parts of the Brookwood Terrace, Naglee Park and Northside neighborhoods near downtown San Jose, California. January 13 was the first time in six days there were no suspicious fires after a string of 12 suspicious fires over five consecutive days.  A string of a dozen intentionally set fires from Jan. 8 to jan. 12, including a five-alarm blaze on Jan. 9 that destroyed a 125,000-square-foot warehouse. Firefighters originally said that the warehouse fire was not connected to the serial arsons. An officer searched through databases of registered arsonists until he found one that looked like a sketch, and Patrick William Brennan was arrested on January 15 after surveillance. The suspect has  2001 conviction for sexually assaulting a minor. He was arrested in the mid 1990s on a misdemeanor charge for setting fire to forest debris in and around the Grand Canyon National Park. He set 16 fires in Santa Clara County's western hills on or near hiking trails in 1999, leading to a year in jail.

The Japanese targeted forests by sending balloons to set fires or set mines.

May 5, 1945: Japanese Balloon Bomb Kills 6 in Oregon ... Wired May 5, 2010 - 1945 They are the only World War II U.S. combat casualties in the 48 states ...1945:: A Japanese balloon bomb kills six people in rural eastern Oregon. They are the only World War II U.S. combat casualties in the 48 states. A Sunday school teacher, her minister husband and five 13- and 14-year-old students near Klamath Falls. Rev found one which exploded...  Jay Gifford, Edward Engen, Sherman Shoemaker, Dick Patzke and their teacher were all dead, strewn around a one-foot hole. The teacher’s dress was ablaze. Dick Patzke’s sister Joan was severely injured and died minutes later, the Mail Tribune wrote.
The six were victims of Japan’s so-called Fu-Go or fire-balloon campaign. Carried aloft by 19,000 cubic feet of hydrogen and borne eastward by the jet stream, the balloons were designed to travel across the Pacific to North America, where they would drop incendiary devices or anti-personnel explosives... he Japanese released an estimated 9,000 fire balloons. At least 342 reached the United States. Some drifted as far as Nebraska. Some were shot down.  One hit a power line and temporarily blacked out the nuclear-weapons plant at Hanford, Washington. But the only known casualties from the 9,000 balllons — and the only combat deaths from any cause on the U.S. mainland — were the five kids and their Sunday school teacher going to a picnic.

Florida Blue Rhino Propane Plant Blows Up, Capitalists, Not Terrorists To Blame

Florida Blue Rhino Propane Plant Blows Up, Not Terrorism
Timeline Of Terror and Not Terrorism

Monday July 29, 2013 Explosions destroy the Blue Rhino propane refilling gas plant in Tavares Florida. At least 8 were injured, five critically as homes as far as 10 miles away were rocked by the explosions. Authorities state there was nothing to indicate a crime had been committed.

There is a war in open sight, but everybody thinks it is just an epidemic of accidents, crimes and mental illness. No way this was just  an accident, and trolls who say it was and accident caused by the government probably know who did it and why. Federal authorities have already stated there is absolutely "nothing to indicate a crime was committed" besides the obvious hunch.

Federal and state investigators say there is nothing to indicate a crime was committed, causing an explosion at the Blue Rhino gas plant in Tavares.
A representative with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with another from the State Fire Marshall’s Office addressed the media Wednesday afternoon.
ATF Assistant Special Agent in Charge Trevor Velinor said the agency was there because of the public safety issued caused by Monday night’s explosion at the plant on CR 448.
Velinor said 25 investigators, who are part of the same national response team that traveled to the fertilizer explosion in Texas in April, were activated to help with response in Tavares.
Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, 53,000 20-pound propane tanks for gas grills exploded into the area, catapulting even off the plant's property. One of the tanks damaged a nearby home.
Twenty-four employees were inside when the fire started late Monday night.
Eight workers were hospitalized, four with severe burns.
.. crews inspected about 5 acres of badly burn areas and interview teams met with employees of the plant, including those that were injured...
“Nothing was uncovered that would indicate a crime was committed,” Ball said, adding that the site inspection would probably finish Wednesday.

But, hey, we wouldn't want the pesky government interfering with these companies' freedom to take these chances. Besides, the free market will correct itself: When enough employees and customers die, these companies will go out of business and all will be right with the world.

And even the airplane manufacturers know that some of the planes will fall out of the air and crash. Same for cars, and boats and even knife manufacturers. Everything is a two edged sword.

The question is always, is it intentional or an accident. Hence, the investigations. News reporters always sensationalize the facts, to satisfy the public's greed for blood and horror.

I am not beyond believing there is more here than meets the eye. How about terrorists practicing? Of course the government and media will never admit to that. I just think it is odd so many of these things like this, tanker trucks crashing into bridges, horrible explosions and fires such as in Texas. Come on! Am I the only one who thinks it is a little to weird??

this was no terrorist attack, I could see the fire from crossed the lake, hear and feel the explosions, please be mindful there are at least 15 people are unaccounted for, possibly fatal...53000 rhino little blue tanks ...if one sparks they could all eventually blow...and the fire has died down some but there are still intermitent explosions every so often...the big storage tanks DID NOT blow...

Or it could be that Mother Nature is causing people to make these mistakes so humans begin to recognize the dangers associated with particular chemicals, and the destruction that results from endless and mindless manipulation of natural elements. Natural selection is accelerating, just maybe.

Before you start seeing goblins around every corner, stop and think just how many mundane activities involve flammables, or things which are produced via processes which involve flammables. It's really startling. At every turn, there are oxygen tanks, propane tanks, gasoline tanks, household chemicals, etc. The law of averages dictates that sooner or later, accidents will happen.

The government and the media are not colluding together to "hide" terrorist attacks - and I'm not saying this incident is in fact an attack. That's tin-foil hat stuff. The government, maybe they would downplay it a little, but there's no way to hide that type of thing because there will always be people blowing the whistle or leaking information. And as far as the media goes, they would jump all over this if it were a terrorist attack because it would be a "juicy" story. That's what the media is there for; to keep people informed and to keep the government in check. Granted, they exaggerate here and there, but combine that with the government's downplaying of the given situation and somewhere in the middle you have the truth.

bless all family's and workers involved. At this point in time it should just simply be, OMG that's awful! How can we help these ppl and show support and love. Time to point fingers and safety whatever's we wrong or neglect afterwards. Not now. It won't undo what's done but caring makes the difference for now. Not the how of it. We need to apply same determination to helping our neighbors, our community our ppl hit hardest. Instead of speculating

is it me or have there been more plant explosions and mass transit accidents than usual this year?

Most of all of these could easily have been terrorism staged as accidents, crimes or mental illness. Like multiple people backing up over mothers with baby carriages. Or people murdered in random shootings and stabbings with no motive. Child kidnapped in bunker from school bus. Mall shootings. Santa Monica shooter. Lots of people acting like mideast terrorist with no mideast, religion or terrorist connections, but their actions are the connection. Brides killed in limousine and power boat. These are not accidents. But Americans are too stupid to figure this out. All the trolls who say "I pray for the victims but these are the fault of capitalists and not enough regulation" are probably the same people who want you to think these are accidents. No need for the NSA when the pro-jihad anti-capitalist agents are out in plain sight on comment boards.

'm aware of that. But if the media tends to ignore such incidents for a while than suddenly starts reporting every single one, it gives the illusion that the frequency of the incidents has gone up.

Necole Ivey Ashton Jackson • 8 hours ago −
Maybe. Or maybe it was an accident. Everyone could at least let the smoke settle before they turn this into a debate about big Government, big business, democrats, republicans, terrorist, conspiracies. There are still people missing. Real people, who have other real people who are concerned about them.

This guy sounds like he is an Al Qaeda disinformation agent who wants you to be sure that it is ridiculous to blame this on Al Qaeda and instead of rampant greedy capitalists:

CNN Jay David comments: Just another typical day in Florida, a state with few environmental safety laws and / or little safety enforcement. An how convenient it is that all safety violations and unsafe practices can now be blamed on "terrorists", leaving the corporation that owned this unsafe facility off the hook financially. Al Qaeda is the best thing that every happened to Wall Street.
