He killed 9 year old fourth grader Devin Aryal, who was in his car seat in his mother's minivan. His stated motive was "noisy cars made him shoot randomly".
His first contact with police was in September 2011 to report a suspicious vehicle. In June 2012 he applied for a permit to buy a handgun. He called police again Jan. 21, 2013 to report he was being stalked, and argued with the officer taking his call that he could not shot at people that were following him, but the officer did not consider Tran to be a threat that needed to be reported. Tran told investigators: "cars had been following me around for a while and people driving cars were revving their engines while parked outside my home in order to wake me up from me sleep," the affidavit said. "This is why I shot at the cars". Police they found a note in his bedroom that read, "Random Kill, Fake Plates" while the date "12/12/12" was also scrawled all over the walls of the bedroom. Tran was placed in a mental hospital after it was determined he did not realize what he did was wrong, and so far has been determined 3 times to be unfit for trial.

"I asked Tran if people had been continuing to follow him for the past couple of years why hadn't he been reporting it. Tran said he didn't want people to think that he was crazy," Voss wrote in her report.
She said that Tran was unable to give her specifics on the vehicles or people he thought were following him and that he couldn't tell her who "they" were.
"Tran then asked if these people continued to follow him if he could shoot them," Voss wrote. "I told Tran absolutely not, he could not shoot someone for following him around. I told Tran he needed to get the incidents documented so it could be determined if he was being followed. Tran grew angry and began arguing with me about why he couldn't shoot someone for stalking him. Tran said, 'So I can't just shoot them for following me?' "

Trouble is, just like all the other SIX fabricated motives they have come up with in the past (no, as you will see below, this isn’t “the first time” they came up with some bullshit motive), this one is based on absolutely no evidence and comes from “unnamed official sources”. Hell, even Paul Lance is sick of this crap:

Since the very beginning of the Sandy Hook psyop, the complicit media have been pushing one bullshit motive after the other in an effort to answer the critical question of “why?”.

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with murder related charges after killing a little boy because the noise of passing cars woke him up from his sleep, according to court proceedings in Minnesota.
The Minnesota man accused of killing the 9-year-old boy, stood in the street and shot indiscriminately at passing cars. The man told investigators he did it because people had intentionally disturbed him from his sleep by revving their engines in front of his home, according to a search warrant affidavit.
Nhan Lap Tran, 34, is charged with six felony counts, including second-degree murder and intentional second-degree murder during an assault. He had previously admitted to the shooting but had not given a motive, prosecutors said.
The shooting occurred one day last month, shortly after 6:00 pm, in the St. Paul suburb of Oakdale, a few feet away from his home. Fourth grader, Aryal Devin died in the shooting. His mother and another woman were wounded. Two others escaped while they were being shot at, according to the criminal complaint.

During the first court appearance, his public defender requested a mental health evaluation.
