  2. 5 killed including 1 suspect killed  January 9, 2015  Paris Hypercacher Jewish Market Vincennes hostage-taking on 9 January, an armed gunman, speculated to be Amedy Coulibaly, 32, attacked a Hypercacher kosher supermarket at Porte de Vincennes, east Paris, taking at least five hostages and reportedly killing at least four people.He had a female accomplice, speculated to be Hayat Boumeddiene, 26. It was later confirmed that Coulibaly was the gunman of Montrouge who shot a policewoman initially thought to be unconnected. Police stormed the store, and Coulibaly was gunned down by police. The current whereabouts of Hayat Boumeddiene and her degree of involvement in the siege is as of yet unknown. It is believed the store was targeted because it was a jewish market, and the hostage-takers are said to be associated with and demanded the end of the siege in Dammartin-en-Goële, and threatened to kill the hostages if they were stormed. One hostage taker was killed, the woman is said to still be at large.  second hostage situation of unclear connection occurs at a Jewish market, Hypercacher, in the easternParis suburb of Vincennes. There are two suspected hostage takers, Hayat Boumeddiene, 26, and Amedy Coulibaly, 32, who were previously suspected of shooting a policewoman dead earlier in the week. A fire among the vehicles which includes a chemical tanker and a truck loaded with fireworks further compounds the disaster. The debris and fire closes the expressway for over 14 hours. 2 killed 2 injured 2 arrested Father and son kill couple, burn house, shoot police January 1, 2015 Police from two states are working to piece together a series of crimes that included a house burned down, a stolen truck containing the bodies of an elderly couple, a shootout with police, and a car chase. His father, Edward Campbell, 54, was driving in a different vehicle and pulled over in front of the police when he saw his son being approached by the officers.Edward "came back there to where [the highway patrol officers] were at, and when they asked him for identification, he pulled a pistol and started shooting,"  looked inside the truck left behind by the son, they found the bodies of an elderly couple, who have been identified as Jerome Faulkner, 73, and his wife, Dora Faulkner, 62, according to the AP, former fire chief.  the Campbells are from Alvin, Texas.
