December 23, 2014 “Second France car attack on pedestrians in as many days injures 10,” French officials urged calm late Monday after a second attack involving a car hitting pedestrians in as many days injured 10 people in the western town of Nantes. Authorities said a driver crashed his van into a crowded Christmas market before stabbing himself several times. He is among five people hospitalized in serious condition. Local prosecutor Brigitte Lamy said the incident was an isolated incident and “not a terrorist act”, though police investigations were continuing late Monday. 11 injured December 21, 2014 Driver Shouting 'Allahu Akbar!' Runs Down 11 French Pedestrians driver screaming "Allahu Akbar!" (Arabic for "God is great") appeared to deliberately mow down about a dozen pedestrians in the French city of Dijon before being arrested on Sunday, officials said. The driver, who was in his forties, hit groups of pedestrians in five parts of the eastern city before being arrested, (NBC news) The man, born in 1974, is apparently unbalanced and had been in a psychiatric hospital. Nzohabonayo had previously committed petty offences but was not on a domestic intelligence watch-list although his brother is known for his extremist views and once pondered going to Syria, the source said. anti-terror branch of the Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into that attack, with the line of inquiry focusing on whether it was motivated by religious extremism. Witnesses told police that the driver shouted "Allahu Akbar" and "that he was acting for the children of Palestine", Connect ed? And the main suspect in the murders of four people at Brussels' Jewish Museum in May, Mehdi Nemmouche, spent more than a year fighting with extremists in Syria.
December 20, 2014 France is still reeling from a suspected radical Islamic attack on Saturday that saw a French convert to Islam shot dead after attacking police officers with a knife while also reportedly crying "Allahu Akbar" in the central town of Joue-les-Tours. The assailant, Burundi-born French national, Bertrand Nzohabonayo seriously injured two officers -- slashing one in the face -- and hurting another.The 20-year-old attacker also cried "Allahu Akbar" during the assault, said a source close to the case speaking on condition of anonymity.

Sunday, April 28, 2013 Two France Apartment Explosions . At least three people were killed and 14 others injured in a huge explosion in Reims France which destroyed 10 apartments in the four-story building "We don't know the cause of the explosion. It was probably due to gas," Reims mayor Adeline Hazan said at the scene This is the second explosion in Reims in the past month. On April 3, in Witry-les-Reims (Marne) four people were killed and another seriously injured in an explosion that was thought to be caused by gas, causing a partial collapse of the building housing the housing. The April 3rd explosion was not reported outside of French press while the April 28 got worldwide coverage.

September 21, 20015 AZF (French initialism for AZote Fertilisant, i.e. nitrogen fertiliser) was the name of a chemical factory in Toulouse, France, which exploded on 21 September 2001. The blast was equivalent to 20-40 tons of TNT, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale, and was heard 80 km away (50 miles). The explosion caused 29 deaths, with 2,500 wounded, around 30 of them heavily. Damages already paid by insurance exceed 1.5 billion euros. Although authorities were initially confident it was an accident, an Environment Minister later concluded the explosion could have been "a terrorist attack" in the wake of the September 11 attacks. The body of a worker with Islamic fundamentalist sympathies was found in the blast and investigated.
