ALBERT, Jan 17, 2015, 1:49 PM ET Two Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers were seriously wounded Saturday after they were shot at a casino in the central Alberta city of St. Albert. Police were searching for an armed suspect. St. Albert RCMP said the officers were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint that led to an interaction with a civilian when they were shot around 3 a.m. Saturday at the Apex Casino. RCMP Criminal Operations Officer Marlin Degrand said the officers did not have a chance to fire back at the suspect, who fled the scene.
