He faces a sentencing hearing July 25 on weapons and DUI charges from two unrelated incidents, and missed five games last season while being treated for substance abuse.
- April 13, 2014 Gaza Prime Minister Praises Shooting of Car Near Hebron Gaza's prime minster Ismail Maniyeh praised the fatal shooting of a car near a checkpoint in the vicinity of the west bank city of Hebron. Terrorist gunmen opened after on an Israeli vehicle killing one and wounding two at the start of Passover. The victim was Israeli Police Chief Superintendent Baruch Mizrahi, a father of 5 in a police intelligence unit. His pregnant wife Haddas was injured, and the nine-year-old son, sustained shrapnel chest wounds. After being hit with two bullets, the mother took over the steering wheel and ordered her children to lie down on the floor of the car. Although no terrorist group took credit for the attack, the PM said that the shooting brought back life to the path of resistance against Israel and warned of more attacks. The Gaza-based terror group Islamic Jihad also praised the attack.

- April 13, 2014 Frazier Glenn Miller Kansas City Jewish Center Shooting At the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City 73 year old Frazier Glenn Miller was arrested in a shooting that killed 3 people., He founded the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and was its "grand dragon" in the 1980s before the center sued him for operating an illegal paramilitary organization and using intimidation tactics against blacks. He later founded another white supremacist group, the White Patriot Party.

On Palm Sunday, the suspect set fire to an object and tossed it through a closed window of Iglesia Cristiana Church in the Brownsville section. Suspect also was caught on a security camera walking up to a door of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Crown Heights and igniting newspapers before fleeing.
