  1. 1 killed September 24, 2014 Australian Police Say Terror Suspect Was Killed After Slashing Officers New York Times An 18-year-old man who was shot dead after wounding two police officers near Melbourne was a “known terror suspect” whose passport had been confiscated, Australian officials said Wednesday. When the man was asked to visit the police station and answer his intentions regarding terrorist movements, he attacked two officers with a knife in the parking lot about 20 miles southeast of Melbourne. One officer shot the man and killed him, the police said. One officer shot the man and killed him, the police said. The two officers, who worked together on a counterterrorism task force, were hospitalized. The suspect became a “person of interest” to the police about two months ago, and his passport was confiscated about a week ago after the man had been seen carrying an Islamic State flag at a local shopping center. This was just after a raid to break up a plot to carry out demonstration killing for ISIS, and a series of ambush attacks and assaults on police officers in the United States, including an unarmed teen in Fergeson who tried to take gun from an officer after a strong arm robbery

Anjem Choudary for years has been preaching jihad and sedition, and praising Islamic jihad murderers. He was a friend of Mujaahid Abu Hamza (aka Michael Adebolajo), who murdered soldier Lee Rigby on a London street, and other jihadists. “Anjem Choudary held in London terror raids,” BBC, September 25, 2014: Nine men, including the radical Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary, have been arrested in London held on suspicion of being members of a proscribed organisation, supporting a proscribed organisation and encouraging terrorism
