The explosion blew out the front wall and caused collapse of one wing of the 3 floor building at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Lexington. No one was injured. Alternative theory - perhaps this was not an accident given the number of people who have accidentally driven down stairs, into doors and into propane tanks and bedrooms of sleeping children. The fire department got a call of a private alarm at the Fairfield Inn about 6:15 p.m. Sunday and arrived the staff evacuating guests because the gas was leaking. About 10 minutes later, there was an explosion. Several cars were damaged and were under rubble.  An older man thought he hit the brake but instead hit the gas and drove into an exposed gas meter, which officers quickly ruled an accident.  youtube video
