A man was found in the basement, suffering from self-inflicted wounds, though he had not been shot. The man was taken to an Aurora hospital for treatment. All persons were evacuated and one injury was reported. The fire has been extinguished. latimes "There were early fears that the incident could be terrorism-related, but officials quickly dismissed that possibility. Aurora Police Chief Greg Thomas told reporters that the fire was deliberately set but "there is no terrorist act. Law enforcement sources said investigators believe the man lit several fires inside the basement telecommunications room of the FAA Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center in Aurora, and then tried to commit suicide. Aurora Police Chief Greg Thomas said the man suffered burns and knife wounds  Friday's flight stoppages come four months after smoke at an FAA radar facility in Elgin, Illinois, prompted flight cancellations and delays at O'Hare and Midway caused by a faulty motor in an air conditioning system. Responders at the FAA Center, which is in Aurora, Illinois, found a person suffering from cuts to at least one wrist cbs CBS 2’s Mike Puccinelli reports it was not immediately clear if the employee was deliberately trying to sabotage equipment at the facility, but Thomas said there was no explosion and the fire was not a terrorist act.

September 24, 2014 1 killed 1 injured workplace violence Moore food warehouse shooting and stabbing  An "angry employee" at a food distribution center in suburban Oklahoma City stabbed two women, killing one of them, Thursday before an off-duty law enforcement officer shot the suspect,..  suspect attacked the first two people he encountered at Vaughan Foods in Moore.. The motive for the attack was unclear, he just appeared to be angry and acting out. The suspect stabbed one a woman fatally and shot and wounded another man. A 2004 Honda Element driven by 47-year-old Sherry Smith-Martin crossed his path turning into a parking lot when she struck the 19-year-old. Officers said Smith-Martin failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle.

Shots were fired when the officer thought he was diving back into his car to get his licence. Sean Groubert, 31, who is white, is seen on dashboard video shooting Levar Jones, 35, who is black. South Carolina Department of Public Safety fired Groubert September 19 for not following protocol when he shot 35-year-old Levar Jones at a Circle K store in Columbia after a traffic stop.

She can be seen in photos and video hiding underneath an eave while she talked to a 911 dispatcher. Cops had the suspect in custody within two minutes of being dispatched,  The suspect was later identified as homeless 29-year-old Christian Hicks, was charged with burglary and jailed on $50,000 bail.
