2 killed 2 critical injuries September 3, 2014  EunB, a singer with the Korean pop group Ladies’ Code, has died after a rear wheel fell off her minvan, sending it spinning and slammed into a protective wall on a rain-slicked road in Incheon, South Korea, also killing her driver. 2 other members were critically injured.

April 24 2014, Indiana, two women were killed when a rear wheel broke loose from their vehicle in Zionsville, causing the car to flip. Police said the lug nuts on the wheel were loose. Members of the driver's family said the tires were recently changed after a fender-bender. Police are still investigating.

In April 2009, a 73-year-old Connecticut man was killed and his wife injured on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton when a loose tire crashed through the roof and windshield of their Mazda.

1994 Seven months after the Pascack Hills teen was killed, a Newburgh, N.Y., woman escaped serious injury near the same Route 17 location in Paramus when a tire flew off a Chevrolet, bounced over the median and smashed her windshield. The Chevrolet driver was not ticketed.

In January 1994, an 18-year-old Pascack Hills High School senior was about to enter a McDonald's on Route 17 in Paramus when he was fatally struck by a 200-pound tire that sailed off a tractor-trailer.
