2 killed, no official motive September 15, 2014 British man, woman found dead on Thai beach CNN two victims were found on the island of Koh Tao with severe injuries to their heads, and a hoe with blood on it was found near the bodies. As there was no sign of theft, one might speculate if terrorism was a motive.

1 killed 1 arrested September 9, 2014 Tanner Rix arrested after Angel Linderman shot in car Pioneer Press Rix from Lake City MN was found standing outside the Mercury Cougar, which was parked in the middle of the street. A .22 revolver and a knife were found near him as he was taken into custody. He was heard yelling during a medical exam "I actually shot my girlfriend in the face today on accident". Linderman, who is believed to have been his girlfriend... had likely died from a gunshot wound to the head, and autopsy results indicated that several hours passed between the time she was shot and his 911 call when he said she was still was alive and needed a medical helicopter. A Minnesota man who called police to ask for help a passenger in his car who'd been shot has been charged in Wisconsin with first degree murder.

August 10, 2013 Bernard F. Poston Jr Accidental Shotgun Killing of Friend Bernard F. Poston Jr took a shotgun out of a closet and thinking it was not loaded, pointed at his friend Regino Manuel Nitti in his St. Paul apartment. The gun accidentally went off, hitting Nitti in the shoulder, and he stayed to apply pressure on the wound, but he left without calling 911 after the victim started to spit up blood, and he died of his injuries. Poston pleaded guilty to secon-degree manslaughter. He was issued a prison sentence of 57 months, but stayed the sentence and ordered 1 year in county jail, and 10 years probation if he behaves.
