3 killed, 1 injured, no suspects September 4, 2014 In the Sydney Australia suburb of Rozelle, there
was a massive fire and explosion at 4am which flattened a convenience store on Darling Street which
housed many apartments of sleeping residents above. Pakistani convenience store owner, Adeel Khan was in  intensive care unit after he was found trapped underneath a fridge. Investigators believe the
explosion is suspicious,as  witness reports that a car was seen making a u-turn and speeding away
from the convenience store moments before the explosion. Chris Noble, 27, was killed, and two bodies are believed to be mother Bianka O'Brien, 31, and her son Jude, who are thought to have been sleeping in one of the units. Locals rumors speculated on meth labs and insurance jobs. Police announced it is looking more and more like a deliberate act’

Police have not been able to establish why owner Syed Zafar Hussain was in the store four hours after it closed and 3½ hours before it would usually open. He is  a Pakistani community figure and editor of local Pakistani newspaper Sada-a-Watan. Ms Adeel revealed that she was worried her husband was not at home on Thursday morning and called him several times. He believed she even travelled to the Darling Street site later that morning and collapsed after seeing the devastation. When the Pakistani consul visited Mr Khan in hospital this week. Mr Khan told him: "I have no idea what happened, I don't know anything. I didn't remember anything; maybe it is a gas cylinder [that exploded]."

WAS IT A BOMB?A source close to the investigation confirmed to 9 News traces of accelerant were found at the scene, which may have helped spread the fire more quickly Former fire investigator Ross Brogan also told The Daily Telegraph that the massive blast had parallels with other explosions where petrol had been used as an accelerant..  vaporised petrol would need only a flick of a light switch to cause flammable liquid to explode... here were several fridges in the store and one of them may have malfunctioned, releasing gas that may have fuelled the explosion...  owner of the convenience store destroyed in the fire, Adeel Khan, 44, is a key person of interest.. police expected to ask why Mr Khan was at the store when the explosion occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning when the store was usually closed... police have ruled out a mysterious silver car as a line of inquiry.
