  5. 1 injured 1 arrrested April 28, 2014 Arrest made in random stabbing caught on video at Dothan Dollar General store  DOTHAN, Alabama -- Dothan police arrested a woman accused of jumping and stabbing a woman inside a Dothan Dollar General store for no apparent reason. Police received a tip through Crime Stoppers that led to the arrest of Phyllis Bennett, 49, of Dothan, Dothan police stated in a release. Bennett (black suspect) is accused of jumping a woman she didn’t know and stabbing her with an edged weapon in an aisle in the 2505 Montgomery Highway store on April 28. The attack, which was captured on surveillance cameras, appears to be a random act with no motive.

The suspect went to a residence in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the city's South Side at about 4:30 Monday afternoon to continue a fight that began on Facebook.

April 27, 2014 German Turkish Exchange Student Shot and Killed in Montana Garage  In Missoula, Montana, Markus Kaarma is accused of setting a trap when he shot 17 year old intruder Diren Dede. Dede was a German exchange student of Muslim Turkish heritage. Kaarma appears to be of Asian ancestry, and some believe he may be a US citizen of Russian origin. Kaarma is a common name in Estonia.

No injuries, storefront and car damaged April 25, 2014 Maxima Plows Into Mall Dialysis Center In White Plains New York, a Nissan Maxima crashed into the White Plans Dialysis Center storefront at the White Plains Mall. No one was injured as the cause was thought to be a confused gas pedal, not an intentional attack

Friday April 25, 2014 Elderly Man Rams Farrell's Restaurant, At a California Farrell's ice cream restaurant, a man leaving the restaurant drove his SUV directly into customers waiting at the front of the store. One woman was killed, and 5 others were sent to the hospital. Police speculated that he may have confused the gas for the brake.

April 24, 2014 WA Comcast Fiber Communications Cable Cut Thieves or sabotage agents stole or just destroyed 200 feet of fiber optic cable from power poles in Snohomish County, Washington north of Seattle, leaving more than 20,000 Comcast customers without service. Homes and business customers lost television, internet and phone service. Company spokesman Steve Kipp thinks thieves might have thought it was copper wire. Nobody suspects it could be like the attack on the substation in San Jose where 2 or more men went down a manhole to sever optic communication lines while they shot holes in a nearby substation.

April 24, 2014 Teen girl stabbed to death at school after rejecting prom 16-year-old Maren Sanchez, a female junior at Jonathan Law High School in Milford Connecticut high school died Friday after she was attacked and stabbed inside the school's stairwell. The attacker asked her to the prom in the stairwell, and then killed her when she turned him down.

casualties: 0 injured, 1 attacked, 1 arrested April 23, 2014 Raymond Iwase Shoots at Daly City Doctor In Daly City near San Franscisco California,  Raymond Iwase, 84 was arrested after he was spotted by witnesses as the man who entered the medical center and shot at Dr. Kevin Wong he had seen 2 years before yelling “’You gave me a shot in the past and you made me sick!" The doctor ran away unhurt, and told others to get out. 

April 23, 2014 (reported May 2) 1 killed,  2 arrested, charged with murder Men charged in killing of retired Birmingham firefighter, Vietnam vet over 'trinkets' are criminal predators, police say  HUEYTOWN, Alabama - The slaying of a retired Birmingham firefighter and two-tour Vietnam veteran gunned down during a break-in at his Hueytown home earlier this month was tragic and senseless, said those charged with solving the crime. "This case is not just an outrage for Mr. McKee's neighbors, or just for the citizens of Hueytown or even those in the Birmingham metro area,'' said Hueytown Police Chief Chuck Hagler. "It's the kind of offense that should evoke a reaction from all decent, hardworking people everywhere." Authorities on Friday announced capital murder charges against two men in the April 23 slaying of 66-year-old Howard Arthur McKee. Kamal Potts, 23, was taken into custody into custody Wednesday by Hueytown police and the Birmingham Police Department's Crime Reduction Team. Romel Cunningham, 28, turned himself into authorities in Bessemer midday Friday after he became aware of an all-night search by U.S. Marshals to find him. Pregnant woman shot in the stomach by a friend after Facebook argument loses her baby
Virginia WycheThe pregnant Florida woman who was shot in the stomach on April 23 over a Facebook argument has lost her baby. Markeisha Brooks, 23, is in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen at the hands of a former friend, 35-year old Virginia Wyche. According to Jacksonville police, the women were arguing on Facebook on the evening of April 22, and Brooks went to Wyche's home on the 9100 block of Castle Boulevard the next day. It is unknown whether Brooks was invited to the home.

April 17, 22 2014 Dean Beckford UMass Bomb Threat Dean Beckford, a 29-year-old senior at University of Massachusetts Boston was charged April 22 with two counts of making a bomb threat.  In both incidents, a call was received at about 12:45 p.m. at a dean's office in Wheatley Hall, the target of the threats, claiming an imminent danger of an explosion in the building. Both times, police evacuated the building and performed a search with bomb squads. Police tracked calls from pay phones outside two train stations and then used surveillance video to identify the suspect

April 21, 2014 Florida After School Facebook Post Stabbing In Poinciana Florida A 16-year-old boy stabbed a 14-year-old several times during an argument that started over a Facebook post at 6:45 p.m. Monday for reports of the two boys fighting. Discovery Intermediate School classmates saw the 14-year-old had been talking about wanting to fight the 16-year-old, identified as Kevin Concepcion, during the school day. Concepcion pulled a pocket knife and stabbed the younger teen seven times, witnesses said.

Sunday April 20, 2014 (Easter) Two Unconnected Stabbing Attacks on in Los Angeles Hospital Nurses In two unconnected incidents in the Los Angeles, California region, two nurses were stabbed in attacks by intruders. At the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar just after 2 a.m. Romiro Carnalla, 26, of Los Angeles, rushed past security and stabbed a nurse stabbed several times. The suspect was arrested, and a knife was recovered at the scene. Hours later at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Thomas Robert Fredette, 38 was arrested after he allegedly approached a group of nurses, grabbed one from behind and stabbed her in the ear with a pencil.

The victim was 22-year-old Poth Accouth of Nebraska whodied from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was shot outside the Kato Ballroom after an event for a Sudanese student group from Minnesota State University. Accouth was to participate in a weekend basketball tournament held at the school.

One police officer told WTSP "Don't bring a gun to the park on Easter Sunday."

6 injured  Sunday April 20, 2014 6 Shot During Chicago Suburb Easter Party 4 women and two men were shot but no children were injured at an Easter party in a garage. It was just after midnight when someone started shooting. The home had no previous gang or shooting incidents.

1 injured April 20, 2014 Airliner Wheel Well Stowaway Wanted To Return To Somalia A Somali teenager jumped the fence at San Jose, California and stowed away in the wheel well of an airliner that flew to Hawaii, where he was discovered by authorities. The teen is recovering in a hospital, and will not be charged as he stated he was only trying to return to his native Somalia though some suspected a trial run for an airliner bombing or joining Al Shabab.

April 20, 2014 Casualties: 21 injured Car Slams Into Packed Fort Myers Church At Easter In Fort Myers Florida, a car plowed into the predominantly black Second Haitian Baptist Church filled with 200 people just before the Easter concert on Sunday night, injuring 21. The driver claimed when her brakes failed, her car just headed straight for the church and she could not stop.

Pakistan has one of the world's worst records for fatal traffic accidents due to poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.

Saturday April 19, 2014 Casualties: 1 arrested, Mehrzad Malekzadeh Walmart Hoax Bomb Lockdown At Kemah Texax, a Walmart is locked down and customers trapped inside for 5 hours for a bomb threat. 35 year old Mehrzad Malekzadeh (a common Iranian / Persian name) appears with what appears to be bombs strapped to his body. He is arrested for making misdemeanor terroristic threats

Vandarren WalkerNewport News, Va. – A 56-year-old man has been arrested for stalking and assault after two elementary school girls reported being approached at the bus stop. Newport News Police say the two girls, ages 9 and 10, told school personnel that a man had approached them while they were at their bus stop. The girls said this wasn’t the first time that the man had approached them. They said they saw him on the Saturday before Easter. The man was allegedly staring at the girls and told them he was going to shoot them with a gun. In Thursday’s incident, the girls said the man again approached them and said he was going to shoot them and have sex with them. The man, identified as Vandarren Walker was arrested and charged with three counts of stalking and two counts of assault.

April 18, 2014 Uighur Detainees and Vietnam Border Guards Killed in Border Clash  7 dead: 5 civilians and 2 border guards killed 16 detainees from China believed to be Uighurs were being deported from Vietnam when the men grabbed Ak-47 rifles from their Vietnamese guards and began firing at their captors. The group was made up of ten men, four women, and two children. Hundreds of Vietnamese border guards and police officers responded to the incident and surrounded the building. After the Chinese were urged to surrender their weapons, including knives carried by the women, some chose to commit suicide, by jumping off the roof of the building, while others were killed during the Vietnamese forces operation to retake the building. (uyghuramerican)

April 18, 2014 casualties: 4 total, 1 dead from injuries, 3 injured 1 suspect charged with murder Benjamin Kevin Newman Murder Charge Runs Down 4 at Plano Bar Parking Lot  April 18 Plano Texas Benjamin Kevin Newman age 23 (white male) is accused of running over four bar employees in the parking lot of the Hangout Bar and Grille, and fleeing the scene. Investigators believe it was intentional murder, and he was charged with murder after one of his victims died.

April 18, 2014 Gun Threat Locks Down Los Angeles Times Building The Los Angeles Times building was locked down as police arrested a man who said he was depressed, didn't mind killing some people and showed off a bag of bullets. He worked in an office leased from the newspaper across the street from the LAPD, bu no gun was found. (Man arrested after LAT shooting threat)
  4. PressTV: Racist websites linked to US hate crimes Fri Apr 18, 2014 PressTV Users of US online hate forums are becoming “disproportionately responsible” for racist murders, a new study says. Nearly 100 people in the last five years have been murdered by frequent users of one white supremacist website, Stormfront, according to a report released on Thursday by the Southern Poverty Law Center.. Other users of the racist website include Wade Michael Page, an Army veteran who opened fire at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin in 2012 killing six people before taking his own life. Another user was Anders Behring Breivik, a Norwegian extremist who massacred 77 people in a bombing and shooting spree in Oslo, Norway, and at a nearby youth summer camp in 2011.

As reported by conspiracy-oriented Zero Hedge, bankers have been plagued with mysterious suicides and more recently attacks by disgruntled customers. It is speculated that revulsion against bankers may have led to vigilante justice.

  1. April 17, 2014 Karpal Singh Malaysian Opposition Leader Killed In Car Crash  Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's veteran ethnic-Indian lawyer and lawmaker Karpal Singh, who defended opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in his sensational sodomy trial, was killed today in a road accident. Singh, 73, and one of his longtime associates were killed early this morning when the car they were traveling in rammed into a lorry/truck, shearing off the left side of the MPV/minivan. His assistant Michael Cornandez was also killed while two others, his son Ram Singh and an Indonesian maid, were seriously injured. Singh's driver claimed the slow moving truck suddenly changed lanes and swerved into their path before he could brake. The truck driver who was with family members tested positive for marijuana use, but police discouraged "conspiracy theories" that Singh had been targeted for opposing extreme Islamic hudud laws, and the slow moving truck driver was somehow at fault. Singh's driver had dozens of speeding violations on his record himself. Singh was previously crippled in a 2005 accident when his taxi was rammed from behind from another car.
  2. April 17, 2014 Texas Seizes Jeffs Polygamist YFZ Ranch In Eldorado Texas, Texas authorities seized the Yearning for Zion Ranch of imprisoned Warren Jeff's FLDS church. The state alleged that FLDS leaders financed a $1.1 million purchase of the land in 2003 through money laundering and committed sexual assaults on the property. On the basis of a hoax phone call, FBI and police stormed the compound with assault rifles and an armored carrier. Evidence uncovered led to authorities believing underage girls were at risk of child abuse and being forced into bigamist marriages. April 17, 22 2014 Dean Beckford UMass Bomb Threat Dean Beckford, a 29-year-old senior at University of Massachusetts Boston was charged April 22 with two counts of making a bomb threat.  In both incidents, a call was received at about 12:45 p.m. at a dean's office in Wheatley Hall, the target of the threats, claiming an imminent danger of an explosion in the building. Both times, police evacuated the building and performed a search with bomb squads. Police tracked calls from pay phones outside two train stations and then used surveillance video to identify the suspect

  1. 2000 students locked down April 16, 2014 Shae Quam Najee Watson Arrested for Liberty High School Burner Phone Threat  In Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, there is a lockdown at Liberty High School after a called in bomb threat. He is charge three counts of threats and two on false  alarms. On May 7, 2014 Shae Quam Najee Watson is arrested for buying burner phone to call in threats to Liberty High School in Pennsylvania. Officials were unsure of his motive, but another man used a disguise when he bought the "burner" untraceable cellphone an hour before the call was placed at a Walmart. Watson had been arrested in April 2013 charged with drunken driving without a licence, and sentenced to a program for first-time offenders and community service. Reports of shots fired and a gunman were called called in. Over 2,000 people were affected, not counting police and parents who responded.

Casualties: 1 arrest Tuesday April 15 2014: Kayvon Edson Boston Marathon Hoax Backpack Bomb In Boston, performance artist Kevin "Kayvon" Edson was seen walking down the street covered in a hood shouting "Boston strong" as he dropped off a suspicious backpack which contained a rice cooker which was evidently meant to be a fake bomb. He was arrested and faced several charges including threatening battery and possession of a hoax device. Bail was set at $100,000 and a judge ordered that Edson be evaluated at a state psychiatric hospital.

April 15, 2014 South Korean Ferry Sewol Sinks The South Korean ferry Sewol which was filled mostly with high school students on a field trip to an island for some unknown reason listed as ships assisted in a rescue effort.   1. 1 injured April 10, 2014 Man High On Paint Fumes Trashes Arapahoe Kia Dealership In Denver area Arapahoe, Joshua Jerrod Lopez, 22 was hospitalized after sideswiping a a police car and then ran down a power pole, rolling several times and landing on cars in a Kia dealership lot, and damaging 20 other vehicles with flying debris. Lopez stopped in the middle of the road, and when a policeman approached, the tried to assault the officer and took off. He was believed to be high on paint fumes.

April 2, 2014 2014 Fort Hood Shooting Suspect Ivan Lopez Four dead, 14 injured at Fort Hood after suspect Ivan Lopez attacked other soldiers at the Army base. The motive was unclear, but the initial assessment is the incident is not terror-related according to officials and an analyst at Stratfor. The suspect was married with a wife and children, and was being evaluated for post-traumatic stress disorder. Around 4:30 p.m. at a medical support building, Specialist Lopez walked in then drove a vehicle and fired shots from the vehicle with a .45-caliber Smith Wesson semiautomatic pistol. He got out of the vehicle, walked into another building and opened fire again, and then confronted a female military police officer. He put his hands up, then reached under his jacket. As the female officer drew her weapon Lopez put his weapon to his head and fired.

April 1, 2014 Rockville MD three-alarm fire burns massive unfinished apartment complex In ROCKVILLE, Md WJLA reports 150 nearly completed apartments were destroyed just before they were finished after a raging fire ripped through a massive three-acre complex just after 4 o'clock in the morning. It was weeks away from being finished and was having appliances installed Tuesday. It may be a total loss, reaching upwards of $20 million.
