Some protesters said they believe that the defendant, Shaun Goodman, who pleaded guilty to DUI and felony eluding in connection with the case, was treated too leniently by the judge and prosecutor in the case. He drove his ferrari so fast his passenger bailed out in downtown and he crashed it into a parked car and house. He has work release so that he can be a boss in the day and run his business, but he has to go to jail at night. He was driving like he was on a Taliban terror mission.
*4 Friday May 16, 2014 Bomb scare at Miamisburg High prompts changes More intense monitoring will occur at Miamisburg High School in Ohio in the wake of Friday's evacuation after a bomb threat, the third of its kind at area schools this week. A bomb threat was found written on a girl's restroom wall. SWAT and bomb detection crews were called, following a similar one at Miamisburg Middle School on Tuesday and an evacuation Thursday at Kettering Fairmont High School after a bomb threat. In the middle school threat, a 13-year-old boy was taken into custody on accusations he wrote a threatening note on a bathroom wall.

*1 May 17, 2014 Fatal shooting outside Preakness among 6 in one day rash of Baltimore shootings (Los Angeles Times) Baltimore police were investigating six shootings Saturday that occurred in less than 20 hours, including a fatal one a block away from the Preakness Stakes horse race. The shootings left four men and two women wounded. The incident occurred less than two hours before more than 110,000 people at the track watched California Chrome win the the second leg of the Triple Crown. The six shootings in one day compares a normal rate of about two homicides or aggravated gun assaults from Jan. 1 through May 10, down from a three year average of 2.5 shootings a day during the same period.
