pair of pedestrians in Manchester were lucky to escape with their lives when a Mini crashed through a barrier near to where they were walking.
The incident was captured on CCTV and also shows heroic members of the public rushing to help the driver of the destroyed car.
Police released the images of the car crashing into Hopwood Hall College, badly injuring the driver and causing extensive damage to the building, to appeal for the two pedestrians to come forward as witnesses.
The incident happened at about 7.15pm on Saturday 9 August 2014 when a grey Mini Cooper S was travelling along Manchester Road, towards Rochdale.
The driver lost control at the junction of Dane Street and the vehicle crossed the central reservation, collided with the railings and ploughed into a college building....
