"Harry" Greene was killed Tuesday after a shooter wearing an Afghan military uniform opened fire at a training facility in Kabul. At least 15 coalition troops, including other Americans, were wounded in the attack at Camp Qargha. One of those wounded was a German brigadier general. The Afghan Defense Ministry described the shooter as a "terrorist" and said Afghan soldiers shot him dead.

Wikipedia: Harold J. "Harry" Greene (February 11, 1959 – August 5, 2014) was a United States Army officer who was killed in the War in Afghanistan. During his time with the U.S. Army, he held various commands associated with engineering and logistical support for U.S. and coalition troops. At the time of his death, he was deputy commanding general of Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan.
Greene was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated from Guilderland High School in 1977. While attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Greene joined the Reserve Officer Training Program, and after obtaining degrees in materials and management engineering he enlisted in the United States Army, where he was commissioned an officer in 1980. Greene was promoted to brigadier general in late 2009, and in that capacity, he served as the Research, Development and Engineering Command's deputy commanding general. Promoted to major general in 2012, he was named deputy commander of Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan. While serving in this capacity Greene was killed in an insider attack in Afghanistan on August 5, 2014.
Upon his death Greene became the highest-ranking American servicemember killed by hostile action since Lieutenant General Timothy J. Maude was killed in the September 11 attacks, and the highest-ranking servicemember killed on foreign soil since Rear Admiral Rembrandt Cecil Robinson was killed during the Vietnam War in May 1972. To date, Greene is also the highest ranking American officer to be killed in combat in the ongoing Global War on Terrorism.[10]

By Thomas Gibbons-Neff August 11 2014 At least five of the American service members who were wounded in last week’s “insider attack” in Kabul have been brought back to the United States, including one who was shot six times shielding a British colonel who was not wearing body armor at the time...The wounded include at least one major and one captain, according to the report, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Post...shooter, an Afghan army soldier, was within close range of his targets when he opened fire on members of the U.S.-led military coalition at a training base.
