19-year-old in leaf-pile deaths avoids deportationPORTLAND, Oregon (AP) — An immigration judge has dismissed the case for reasons not revealed against a 19-year-old Oregon woman who faced possible deportation to Mexico after she drove into a leaf pile with two girls in it Prosecutors say the Oct. 20 crash was an accident. But they say the young woman failed to come forward after learning she might have struck the children in the leaf pile, which was on the street.
Mike: may have been an "accident" but her attempts to cover it up, her going to the car wash with her boyfriend the next to day to remove the evidence shows a clear intent to cover up the crime, and that is no "accident", her actions to cover up her "accident" were deliberate, and against the law. her actions clear show a lack of "respect" for our laws, she both lied and destroyed evidence after knowing she was the one who hit the kids.. Garcia-Cisneros, court records say, initially denied her role in the crash, but eventually said... she had purposely driven over the leaf pile and felt a “loud bump when she drove over the leaves”. comments: let me get this straight.. she is driving with Im sure no insurance, runs over a pile of leaves, doesn't notice the 2 rather large speed bumps that were apparently under the leaves.. HAS HER BROTHER GO BACK and check ( for some reason, only one I can think of is she knew she hit something or someone why did brother return to the scene?) comes home tells her she might have killed someone and police have to come find her the next day Garcia-Cisneros was brought to the U.S. from Mexico as a 4-year-old. She has temporary permission to be in the country legally under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, meaning she has a work permit, a driver's license and a Social Security number.
