In 2002, James Ujaama’s mosque leader, Abdul Raheem Al Arshad Ali of the radical Dar-us-Salaam mosque in Seattle’s Central District, was first arrested on illegal weapons charges. He was accused of illegally buying a semiautomatic handgun and obliterating the serial number for a Tacoma man and army reservist Semi Osmon who cannot have a gun because he is not a citizen. Osmon was an associate of James Ujaama described as having al Qaeda connections. through their involvement in a now closed  Seattle Mosque and an alleged attempt to develop a Bly, Oregon ranch into a terrorist training camp. Ali a U.S. citizen, ostensibly bought a .40 caliber gun for Osmon in 1999.  Ali was known as Andre Anderson was a former Marine who converted to Islam during the first Gulf war. He trained at a suspected al-Qaida camp in Oregon, and was one of a number of muslim soldiers caught in terrorist plots, and third man linked to the defunct Seattle central area militant mosque.  Osman pled guilty Jan 10.  Ali has 3 children has worked as mall security guard, cab driver and brick layer, and claimed he just shot targets and rode horses like any other ranch guests in Oregon.  Besides setting up the training camp, al-Masri, 56, is accused of conspiring in a 1998 kidnapping in Yemen that resulted in the deaths of four tourists and committing other terror crimes. He faces life in prison if convicted.

Oussama Kassir, boasted about his past experiences with running training camps and being a “hit man” for Osama bin Laden. He told Muslim convert Eva Hatley who opened up her ranch  that al-Masri was his “leader” and that al-Masri sent him and others to the Bly ranch to create a “training camp” where men would learn to shoot guns, throw knives and do calisthenics along open, spacious fields abutting a ravine and desolate dirt roads.

Kassir, a Lebanese-born Swede, was convicted in 2009 of plotting to help al Qaeda recruit by trying to set up a weapons training post at the ranch and distributing terrorist training manuals over the Internet.

New Developments In The Ujaama Case - Google Groups As reported yesterday in Seattle's news media, there has been a new arrest associated with the Ujaama case. Abdul Raheem Al Arshad Ali,
31, AKA Andre Anderson, was arrested on Tuesday and appeared in court  on Wednesday. Ali is accused of obtaining a gun for Semi Osmon -- an  associate of James Ujaama -- who was charged with and pleaded to illegal  possession of a firearm. Ali, a U.S. citizen, ostensibly bought a .40
caliber gun for Osmon in 1999. Osmon and Ujaama are said to have been  associated with each other through their involvement in a now closed  Seattle Mosque and an alleged attempt to develop a Bly, Oregon ranch  into a terrorist training camp. It's quite likely that Ali was  arrested resulting from information provided to federal authorities  by Osmon subsequent to his plea agreement with prosecutors.
