Monday September 23, 2013 Nikhom Thephakaysone (likely Asian American of Thailand origin) fired a shot into the back of San Francisco State University student Justin Valdez for "no apparent reason" as he exited a light rail train. Surveillance video show he had brandished his gun surrounded by several people who evidently did not notice because they were too busy reading their cellphones. Earlier that evening, he had held a gun to man's back near the university, and was seen showing his gun outside a Thai restaurant. This was a week after the September 16th Navy Yard shooting by Aaron Alexis, who had adopted a Thai Buddhist culture and visited Thailand attacked the Navy Yard near the U.S. Capitol for "no apparent reason". Police found 3 guns including 2 assault rifles, $20,000 in case and a backpack of survival gear with combat knives and a first-aid kit, but "did not know" why he had this equipment prepared. Officials faulted "cellphone zombies" for not paying attention to threats.

Thephakaysone is from Thailand. A week before, Aaron Alexis who had traveled to Thailand and immersed himself into the Thai community shot up the Navy Yard. Police find Police found two assault rifles there, as well as knives, survival gear and around $20,000 cash, but they have no idea why he would try to shoot random people. Palestinians shoot Israelis for "no reason" all the time. There are two reasons for mass shootings, either they are crazy or on a terrorist mission (or both) but America is too clueless to figure it out.
2nd Thai Terrorist after Aaron Alexis who adopted Thai culture and visited Thailand
Thephakaysone pleaded not guilty to three felonies -- murder with a gun enhancement, assault with a firearm on a different victim earlier that night and possession of an illegal assault rifle found by investigators at his home.
Assistant District Attorney Scot Clark said at the arraignment this morning that the defendant stuck a .45-caliber handgun in another man's back earlier on the night of the killing but did not pull the trigger.
2 + 2 = terrorist: In his residence, police said they found three firearms, $20,000 in cash and a backpack full of survival gear, including combat knives, razors, a flashlight and first-aid kit. Police did not immediately know why he may have had the paraphernalia.

DA: SF State Student "Hunted" by Shooter | NBC Bay Area
The suspect in a seemingly random fatal shooting in San Francisco's Ingleside Heights neighborhood on Monday had threatened others earlier in the evening, and appeared to be "hunting" for a victim, District Attorney George Gascon said Friday.
Nikhom Thephakaysone, 30, allegedly held a gun to another man's back at a Muni stop near San Francisco State University earlier in the evening on the same day the murder of 20-year-old Justin Valdez occurred, Gascon said.
He was also allegedly seen brandishing his .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun outside a Thai restaurant near the university, Gascon said.
The victim in the first incident called 911 only after he had safely escaped onto a Muni vehicle and made it home, while the restaurant incident was reported right away
the two men were both students at San Francisco State but did not appear to know each other, and did not interact on the train before the shooting.
Thephakaysone allegedly pulled out his gun and fired around 9:50 p.m. as Valdez stepped off the train at Randolph and Bright streets, hitting him in the back.
"This individual went out hunting, and Mr. Valdez was in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Gascon, who described the murder as "cold and calculating."
surveillance footage of the incident last month showed a train car full of passengers within feet of the accused gunman as he openly brandished a weapon on the train.
"No one notices that he's brandishing the gun at several locations and everybody is in very close proximity, which is somewhat concerning," he added.
Authorities said that after the September 23 incident, the gunman got off the train and walked home.
Authorities were not blaming the slaying on cell phone
..police said pointed his gun at strangers in at least two separate incidents on the night of the shooting, was arrested at his family's San Francisco home.
So if I'm on a train with my cell phone and I notice a guy with a gun, just what am I suppose to do? Tackle him? Yell at him and say you can't do that?
More than likely, I use my cell phone to call 911, take a video or picture of the guy, etc. Either way, the shooter is more than likely going to get the first couple of shots off and kill his intended victim before anyone decides to risk their life to stop him
I doubt that the self 'robotization' of the masses will ever cease. It will only get worse as the self absorbed individuals retreat further into their electronic world. Even with the proof that their own safety is at stake, many times during the day, they seem oblivious to a probable trip to the ER because of a missed step; a errant stroll in front of a Mack truck or a gun wielding mad man. They might know instantly about a story coming from China but have absolutely no idea that danger is approaching right in front of them. That is nuts!
