October 22, 2013 The president of Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington Jeff Nelson was found dead of a gunshot wound in Stillwater, MN. He was the former president of Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center on the U.S. Virgin Island of St. Croix, according to his biography. The school has an enrollment of 900 in such non-traditional health practices such as chiropractic, acupuncture and Oriental medicine, and massage therapy. In Jan 2014, the death was ruled suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Very unusual for an assassination of a sitting university president.
