Crowd attack | Bombing | Muslim suspect | Asian victims | Terrorist organization
Sunday October 27, 2013 Eight coordinated bombs exploded across the city of Patna and at a rally for Hindu nationalist opposition leader Narendra Modi, killing at least 7 and wounding 83. One of two arrested suspects confessed he followed instructions from the banned Indian Mujahideen, a group associated with militants in Pakistan, though no group claimed responsibility. Police arrested three in state and another three in Jharkhand where police found explosives and bomb materials. Modis and his hard-line Hindu party have been accused of encouraging mobs which left 1,100 dead after they attacked Muslim neighborhoods in Gujarat in 2002. Six men were arrested that planted 3 bombs each for a total of 18 bombs across the city. Among those arrested was Tehseen Akhtar, a tech skilled top Indian Mujahideen operative and the mentor of Imtiaz Ansari.
Note - There were two coordinates bombs at the Boston Marathon. Unlike random shooting attacks and car rampage attacks in the US where the suspects give no sensible motive, a suspect as confessed he was acting on orders of a terrorist group, which may explain motive for US incidents

Patna; Ranchi - At least six bombers, working in three
teams of two people each, carried out the serial blasts
in Patna, police said on Monday. Police named Tehseen
Akhtar alias Monu and Waqas said to be aides of Indian
Mujahideen (IM) co-founder Yasin Bhatkal as the main
conspirators behind the attack.
Following disclosures made by Imtiaz to police in Patna,
Jharkhand Police on Sunday night raided a two-storey
house in Sithio village in Ranchi and recovered a
pressure cooker with electrical wires attached to it.
The IED was recovered from one of three rooms allegedly
used by Imtiaz on the first floor of the building. One of
the suspects is a relative of Imtiyaz's, and lived in the
same house, police sources said. Two of the other
suspects including Tariq alias Anul too are residents
of the village, the sources said.
"About 225 g of a grey powder was found in the pressure
cooker. We suspect it is ammonium nitrate. The circuit
had been completed in the IED. I wouldn't call it a
perfect bomb, but it could cause a low-intensity blast,"
additional director general of police S N Pradhan,
spokesperson for the Jharkhand Police, said.
