December 31, 2013 New Years Eve Gas Can Arson At Seattle Gay Bar A fire was in the stairway of a gay nightclub in Seattle which was quickly extinguished. An empty gas can was found at the top of the stairway. Musab Mohamed Masmari was arrested, and has a Facebook page which says he is from Benghazi Libya. He had a number of assault and no contact violations, was living in Lynnwood in 2009. The club is owned by an Egyptian. According to investigative documents, Masmari told a friend “that homosexuals should be exterminated.” That friend, a member of the local Muslim community, went straight to the FBI because he believed Masmari may have also been planning a terrorist attack. That friend became a confidential informant.

Suspects Says Indian Mujahideen Ordered Blast At pro-Hindu rally Sunday October 27, 2013 Eight coordinated bombs exploded at a rally for Hindu nationalist opposition leader Narendra Modi, killing at least 7 and wounding 83. One of two arrested suspects confessed he followed instructions from the banned Indian Mujahideen, a group associated with militants in Pakistan, though no group claimed responsibility. Police arrested three in state and another three in Jharkhand where police found explosives and bomb materials.

Khalid Ouazzani from Kansas City Sentenced For Aiding Al Qaida October 7, 2013 Khalid Ouazzani from Kansas City who swore allegiance to al-Qaida and sent money to the global terrorist organization was sentenced Monday to 14 years in federal prison. A naturalized U.S. citizen from Morocco, he had admitted in May 2010 that he had funneled $23,500 to al-Qaida after swearing an oath of allegiance to the organization in June 2008. Another defendant Sabirhan Hasanoff, a Brooklyn accountant, was sentenced to 18 years in prison, while Wesam El-Hanafi, a Brooklyn information technology security specialist was awaiting his sentence.

Vietnamese Computer Expert Arrested For Helping Al Qaeda June 29, 2012: Minh Quang Pham, 29 Pham was wanted in the US for terrorism related offences and was arrested in the UK. Pham swore an oath of allegiance to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) after leaving Britain to join the terrorist group in December 2010. He received military-style training and met with the American citizens Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan who were producing online propaganda for AQAP including the notorious on-line magazine called “Inspire” before returning to Britain eight months later. Pham is of Vietnamese heritage but had been living in New Cross, South London since at least 2005 where he ran his own computer company. Vietnam has 63,146 Muslims according to the 1999 census, less than one per cent of the population, mostly from Cham ethnic group, who are related to Malays
