a student at Savannah State University, was inside her Volkswagen Beetle near her residence at Colonial Village at Marsh Cove off White Bluff Road when she was fatally shot about 7 p.m., Miller said. He indicated Monday evening officers had found her on the ground outside the vehicle but they were uncertain how she got there.
Foley had transferred to Savannah State from Armstrong Atlantic State University after the Spring 2012 semester in order to change majors, the universities confirmed.

Be careful who you surround yourself with!

This is terrible, but I find it hard to agree with the statement,"We’ve got a 21-year-old girl that did not a hurt a soul, that was just as good as apple pie — killed for no reason.” In "most" violent crimes like this the person that is killed is "usually tied up in some sort of nefarious activity with the wrong people. I am saddened that this ended up in a young girls death, but it just goes to show that you really need to be careful these days.

    s there a connection

Is it possible this could be related to the 17yr old young man who was shot in Windsor Forrest. How many victims are we up to know? Savannah has become the Wild West. Going to get my concealed license now !

    Very Sad

A young woman like this being murdered in or around her car sounds like a car jacking gone bad..What ever the reason was, I'm sure she did not have to be killed.
This is happening in every city in the country, and there is a common thread...
Back home in Oklahoma City we never had large amounts of any specific crime, but after the government moved thousands of Hurricane Katrina victims to OKC from New Orleans, the crime has gone up 500%....Murders everyday, auto thefts, drug dealers on nearly every corner, home invasions in what use to be, very good neighborhoods.
So it is not unique to Savannah!
