San Antonio Motel Standoff After Policeman Shooting

September 09, 2013 Police arrived at a Super 8 Motel for a family disturbance. Melvin McKinney fired at least one shot through the door before opening it and firing several more times, striking  officer Aaron Terrazas, 34. He then barricaded himself inside a motel  rooms, while he was posting on Facebook "THIS [EXPLETIVE] IS KRAZY" around 1 p.m. He later posted, "I LOVE ALL Y'ALL BUT THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVE TO DO ... #LOSTWITHNORETURN." McKinney surrendered to police.at 5 p.m. McKinney was charged in the past with drug possession and there was a warrant for him for an assault incident in March

SWAT team surrounds San Antonio motel after veteran officer shot in head

DEVELOPING: A standoff is under way between Texas authorities and a man suspected of shooting a veteran police officer in the head. 
A SWAT team has surrounded a Super 8 Motel in downtown San Antonio, where the alleged gunman has barricaded himself inside one of the rooms.
