August 14, 2014 In Anarae Schunk killing, prosecutor seeks harsher sentences  Schunk was fatally stabbed nearly two dozen times. Her body was stripped naked, carried from the home in a plastic tote and dumped in a ditch by the side of the road about 30 miles away. The  and surrounding brush were burned slightly as a bottle of lighter fluid and a matchbook were  found in Conrade's car.

Paragraph: Sunday September 22, 2013  Suspect Anthony Nelson (also known as Shavelle Oscar Chavez-Nelson) a black male, fatally shot 23 yr old Palagor Jobi, an ethiopian male, outside Nina’s Grill in northeast Burnsville at closing time. Nelsenon was with girlfriend Ashley Marie Conrade and ex-girlfriend Anarae Schunk (both white women) when Jobi tried to start talking to Conrade. After Nelson warned Jobi Conrade was his girlfriend and told him to stop, it escalated to blows and gunshots in the parking lot.

One of Jobi's cousins placed Chavez-Nelson in a chokehold and knocked the gun away. Nelson got free, grabbed his gun and with Conrade and Schunk got into Nelson's 1983 Buick Lesabre and drove to Conrade's home in Rosemount, where the trail went cold for Schunk who was soon declared missing. Police searched for more than three hours. Nelson has been charged in in the shooting , while Conrade is charged with aiding Nelson flee the shooting, and neither of them have been cooperative in finding Schunk. Schunk had been trying to recover $5,000 she lent Nelson before they broke up when she heard Nelson had been detained by Eagan police and living with a woman who was the mother of his child. Police have informed Schunk's family evidence indicates Schunk was murdered, but they have not found a body.

Jobi was an Ethiopian community college student with an extensive arrest history in 2 counties including charges of fraud, DUI, minor consumption and probation violations, careless driving, fifth-degree assault and obstruction. Suspect Shavelle Oscar Chavez-Nelson was arrested Sep 24, 2013. Police were also seeking a 20 year old University of Minnesota college student Anarae Schunk was missing after family said they hadn't seen her since dropping her off at a Caribou Coffee stand the afternoon before she disappeared. The 20-year-old Burnsville woman is seen in surveillance video walking into the same Nina's Grill with her ex-boyfriend Saturday the day before. Schunk broke up with the homicide suspect last November after she learned he was living with the mother of his child. Police say she is also inactive on social media. Jobi had been arrested for 3 counts of theft including using credit cards stolen from garages.

    Schunk was with her former boyfriend, Chavez-Nelson (aka Anthony Lee Nelson) on the night he shot Palagor Jobi to death at a Burnsville bar – and one day before she was reported missing.
    Ashley Concorde was also with Schunk and Chavez-Nelson – her boyfriend at the time – on that night, and brought them back to her Rosemount home after the fatal shooting.
    Investigators found several items of physical evidence at Concorde’s home that pointed to Schunk’s stabbing death at the scene.

On Thursday, Chavez-Nelson, of Eagan, was charged in Dakota County District Court with second-degree murder in connection with Jobi's death.
