On 31 August 2013, liquid ammonia leaked on the fourth floor of the Weng's Cold Storage Industrial Company, killing fifteen people and injuring twenty-six. Six of the people injured were in critical condition. Thirteen of the dead victims died on the way to the hospital. The leak occurred in China's largest city, Shanghai.
