Disappearance of Orange County Student Bryce Laspisa
August 30, 2013 Naperville Central graduate Bryce Laspisa, 19 went missing early Friday. His overturned 2003 Toyota High
lander SUV was found at 5:30 a.m. at a boat launch on Lake Castaic north of Los Angeles. He was travelling home to Laguna Niguel from college and had called his parents at 2 a.m. telling them he pulled off Interstate 5 in a residential area to sleep in his car. The back window was broken seeming showing that he had broken out and and walked to the waters edge, but oddly dogs found his scent trail ended there.. A burned body found September 21 was determined not to be his.

KCRA.COM. IT IS FREE . INVESTIGATORS ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT ABOUT THE DISAPPEARANCE OF A STUDENT WHO MOVED BACK TO SACRAMENTO. THE 19-YEAR-OLD HAD BEEN STUDYING AT THE ROCKLAND SIERRA COLLEGE AND HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE LAST FRIDAY. KCRA 3'S KEVIN OLIVER. I UNDERSTAND YOU SPOKE WITH ONE OF HIS FORMER ROOMMATES JUST THIS AFTERNOON. THAT IS RIGHT. HIS FORMER ROOMMATE SAID HE MOVED UP HERE TO GET A FRESH NEW START IN A NEW COMMUNITY, AND NOW ANY HERE AND HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM ON THAT TRIP HOME. WE WOULD ALWAYS BRING SKETCHES BACK TO OUR DORM, AND THEY WERE REALLY GOOD. HE HAD SOME TALENT, A LOT OF TALENT, AND IT IS TOO BAD THAT THIS HAPPENED. HE TRIED TO CALL HIS ROOMMATE WHEN HE HEARD HE HAD VANISHED. THE 19-YEAR-OLD 'S TRUCK WAS FOUND CRASHED ON ITS SIDE NEAR THE LAKE, WOODY FIVE MILES NORTH OF LOS ANGELES. BUT THE SIERRA COLLEGE STUDENT WAS STILL MISSING. HIS GIRLFRIEND MET WITH HIM BEFORE HE DROVE SOUTH. I THOUGHT OF EVERY POSSIBLE SCENARIO OF WHERE HE COULD BE AND WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO HIM. HE WAS IN HIS SECOND YEAR AT SIERRA COLLEGE. THEY ROUTED TOGETHER UNTIL HE WAS EVICTED FROM THEIR DORM. THEIR FRIENDSHIP DID NOT END ON GOOD TERMS. WHEN I HEARD THIS STORY, BY THE WAY I KNEW IT, I HAD EXPECTED SOMETHING LIKE THIS, WELL, NOT LIKE THIS, BUT I EXPECTED NOTHING GOOD WOULD COME FROM THE FACT. A BICYCLIST SPOTTED A BURNING BODY THREE MILES FROM THE CRASH SITE, BUT INVESTIGATORS DO NOT KNOW IF THAT IS HIM OR SOMEONE ELSE. THE BODY IS SO BADLY BURNED, INVESTIGATORS SAY YOU CANNOT TELL IF IT IS MALE OR FEMALE. I CONTACTED THE ROCKLAND POLICE AND THE ROSEVILLE POLICE, AND NEITHER SAID THEY HAD BEEN CONTACTED BY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AUTHORITIES REGARDING THIS INVESTIGATION, AND MANY STUDENTS

Authorities pieced together his journey and they do know that around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, that Bryce ran out of gas and called for roadside assistance from the Buttonwillow Rest Area near Bakersfield. The serviceman told authorities that Bryce looked okay but his eyes were red. After Bryce's car was gassed up he stayed at the rest area for another 10 hours, but eventually drove to Lagoon Drive about five miles away, reports
The Santa Clarita Signal.
Then on Thursday around 10:30 p.m., Bryce told his mom that he was going to "hang with some friends." On Friday he bought a drink from the Shell station in Buttonwillow and called his mom around 2 a.m. That was the last phone call his parents received. When the Laspisa's didn't hear from Bryce they contacted the police who located his 2003 Toyota Highlander SUV overturned on the Castaic Lake Main Boat Launch access road. Bryce's cellphone, wallet and laptop were found in the vehicle along with some blood. The back window was shattered with an emergency tool that was kept in the center console of the car, according to the Find Bryce Laspisa Facebook page. Other information revealed that Bryce had told his mother he had a lot he wanted to talk to her about as he was breaking up with his girlfriend.
