Student Victims
February 27, 2013 Just outside a 2,000 student residence 2 miles from Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, sophomore Anthony Liddell died after he was shot in 3 times in the parking lot, as the gunman fled.
The Horry County Grand Jury indicted Marquis Spencer McDonald, 20, and Stephon Mclain, Jr., 22, both of Conway for the shooting. McDonald surrendered to authorities and is not a CCU student. Horry County Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said the shooting was not random. When McDonald exited a vehicle to meet with Liddell in a pre-arranged meeting, he had a short conversation before shooting Liddell three times.
