A fire engulfed a chemical plant in Oklahoma early Thursday, heating pressurized containers and causing several explosions, authorities said.

Another plant explosion. Seriously, is this happening at an unusually high rate? Just seems like an awful lot of plant "mishaps" these days.

      ----------
all of these explosions at chemical plants and refineries over the past couple of years would kind make one wonder if they have been done on purpose????
Either a group of anarchists or environmental lunatics or maybe even a group of Islamic fanatics?????
I think it is just strange how we did not have this kind of stuff happening for an awful long time and now all of a sudden it seems like it is in the news every other week now!!!
      --------

that's because for a long time we had government regulations in place to make sure corporations complied with strict safety standards. Those safety regulations cost money, which means that corporations will gladly save a buck at the expense of safety once regulations are rolled back. Look what happened at the fertilizer plant in Texas when the corporation was left to police itself
