But the homeowner, Sarah McCartney, who is white, feared he was a robber, triggered her burglar alarm and called 911. One of the police officers immediately aimed his Taser,  Ferrell began to run as the Taser fired. Officer Kerrick drew his gun on the belief that Mr. Ferrell wanted to take his gun.
