He drove from his Indiana home to the suburban Toledo mosque and burned a prayer rug, causing extensive damage in the building. In April 2013 the truck driver and former Marine was sentenced to 20 years in prison and ordered to pay $1.4 million.

November 21, 2012 2012 Tel Aviv bus bombing was a mass-injury terror attack on a crowded passenger bus driving in the center of Tel Aviv's business district. The attack was carried out by an Israeli citizen of Arab descent, who remotely detonated an explosive device, which he had hid on the bus in advance. 28 civilians were injured in the attack, among them three who were injured seriously. The attack was carried out on the 8th and last day of Operation Pillar of Defense, only a few hours before the ceasefire was reached.
2 killed, officer charged and acquitted November 29, 2012 Shooting of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams The shooting of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams, two unarmed homeless African American individuals, occurred in East Cleveland, Ohio on November 29, 2012, at the conclusion of a 22-minute police chase after a Malibu in which a backfire noise was mistaken for gunfire. Thirteen police officers fired at Russell and Williams 137 times while they were in their car at a parking lot of a middle school. In May 2014, one of the officers involved, Michael Brelo, was charged with two counts of voluntary manslaughter, and was acquitted by a Cuyahoga County judge of the charges on May 23, 2015. The families of Russell and Williams filed a lawsuit against the city of Cleveland, and received a settlement of $3 million in November 2014.

He fired a total of 17 shots, killing two people and seriously wounding a third. - 2012 College Station, Texas shooting August 13, 2012, a local constable was shot and killed in College Station, Texas by the man to whom he was serving a legal notice. Other officers came to the scene and engaged in a shootout that lasted for approximately thirty minutes, during which one civilian was killed and officers were injured. The suspect, who was shot and fatally wounded in the gunfight, was later identified as 35-year-old Thomas Alton Caffall III. Police found a Vz 58 Tactical Sporter rifle, a Mosin–Nagant M91/30 rifle with a bayonet, a .40-caliber SIG Sauer P226 pistol stolen from a police officer,[1]and a PSL rifle with a scope in his house after the shooting.[2][3]

Only 2012 August 5: Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting: Six people were killed and three others were injured, including a police officer who was tending to victims at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The gunman, 40-year-old Wade Michael Page, killed himself after being shot by police.[69]The shooting is being treated by authorities as an act of domestic terrorism.[70][71] While a motive has not been clearly defined Page had been active in white supremacist groups.[69]

3 killed January 13, 2012 3 killed in North Carolina workplace shooting Three people were killed and a fourth was wounded in a shooting at a lumber company in North Carolina, a county sheriff said. Investigators later found a man witnesses identified as the shooter in his home with a gunshot wound to the head, said Sheriff Dempsey Owens of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. The shooting happened at the McBride Lumber Co., about a mile north of Star, North Carolina, about 50 miles south of Greensboro, Owens said. Witnesses identified the shooter as 50-year-old Ronald Dean Davis. Law enforcement officers who went to his home discovered him sitting on a couch with a gunshot wound and a rambling six-page note beside him. No motive was identified.

The suspect Jeremy Jones, 20, of Jackson turned himself in. Jones. His cover story was that there was a fistfight with students when there were two shots and he realized he had shot his friend by accident (yeah, right) investigation showed that in response to the fight, Jones pulled out a gun and "unintentionally" shot and killed Clark. Jones' got a six-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter

The plane was forced to make an emergency return to the airport where he was arrested, and eventually pled guilty, and released from jail for time served. He also faced charges for a slow speed chase two days before where he nearly ran over a pedestrian and rammed two police cars. The TSA maintained there was no security or terrorist issue, and no motive as given although it was said that the teen made obviously false claims he believed that "another person inside him" had been driving because he suffered from mental illnesss and had not taken his medications. Saudis knew about this, but did not find any reason to believe he had any extremist tendencies when he returned home Same suspect proved he really was a terrorist when later arrested by Saudi Arabia for April 8, 2015 Kills Saudi Cops in drive by shooting

Casualties: 3 injured March 5, 2012 Maryland Fed Ex Truck Rear Ends Flashing Stop School Bus In Maryland, a FedEx semi-trailer rear ended a school bus that was stopped with flashing lights. The 100 gallon fuel tank of the FedEx truck was leaking, and 3 were injured. In 2014 a FedEx truck crossed the freeway median to hit a charter bus head-on killing 10.
March 11, 2012 Toulouse and Montauban shootings were a series of three gun attacks targeting French soldiers and Jewish civilians in the cities of Montauban and Toulouse in the Midi-Pyrénées region of France in March 2012. In total, seven people were killed, and five others were injured, four seriously. The militant Islamist perpetrator Mohammed Merah was shot and killed after a 30-hour siege with police. The first attack occurred on 11 March, when a Muslim French paratrooper was shot dead in Toulouse. A second attack on 15 March killed two uniformed soldiers and seriously injured another in a shopping centre in Montauban. On 19 March, four people, including three children, were killed at the Ozar Hatorah Jewish day school. Thereafter, the Vigipirate, France's terror alert system, was raised to its highest level in the Midi-Pyrénées region and surrounding departements.[7] The United Nations,[8] many governments around the world,[9] and the French Council of the Muslim Faith condemned the attacks.
Casualties: 1 killed April 12, 2012 Pastor's mother shot at Destiny Christian Center Josephine Echols, African American mother of the pastor at Destiny Christian Center near Aurora Colorado was shot and killed when she ran out to investigate when suspect 29-year-old Kiarron Parke Kiarron Parker crashed his nearly new Dodge charger into the parking lot. Parker tried to shoot at church members who rushed outside, but when his gun started working, he hit Echols. Parker's friend told police that Parker became upset Sunday afternoon and left in a car, while his friend followed in another car. Police announced it was a "complete random act, the church wasn’t targeted". Parker had several previous arrests in Aurora, the site of the "Batman" theater massacre, for drug possession, traffic violations, failing to appear, theft and resisting arrest.

But the girl was not there at the home where parents had dropped off children at a daycare run by DeLois Brown, 59, so Mosley shot Brown and her parents, James Bolden, 82, and Clover Bolden, 81 instead in execution style. Hennepin County Court Judge Toddrick Barnette found Eddie Matthew Mosley, 35, of Saint Louis, guilty on 9 felony counts including three counts of premeditated first degree murder and will spend the rest of his life in prison. Perpetrator and victims were all African American.

2 Chinese USC graduate students killed, 2 suspects guilty Murder of USC Graduate Students Ming Qu and Ying Wu April 11, 2012 The murders of Ming Qu and Ying Wu occurred on April 11, 2012, when two Chinese graduate students were shot to death after sitting in their BMW parked one mile outside of the University of Southern California (USC) campus in Los Angeles, California. The two suspects, Javier Bolden and Byran Barnes, aged 19 and 20 at the time of the shooting, were arrested in connection with the murders. In 2014, Barnes was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. Bolden awaits a verdict.

As rescue crews worked to free the driver from the wrecked car, he asked loud enough to be heard by the bartender: in the bar “Did I make it to the liquor store?” Metro Police officials identified Las Vegan Gary Lee Hosey Jr., 24, as the vehicle's driver. He and four Ethiopian friends had just been at an Ethiopian bar, claimed he only drank one beer. Police investigate after a car crashed into a bus stop full of waiting pedestrians on Spring Mountain Road east of Decatur Boulevard, killing four people, on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012. He failed alcohol testing, though he claimed he only had one beer. He had got off his bartender shift, and said he had to hurry to give his girlfriend's car back so she could go to work at 7. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 80 years.
Randy T. Linn Toledo Mosque Arson September 30. 2012 Randy T. Linn admitted setting fire to an Ohio mosque because he wanted revenge for the killings of American troops overseas. He drove from his Indiana home to the suburban Toledo mosque and burned a prayer rug, causing extensive damage in the building. In April 2013 the truck driver and former Marine was sentenced to 20 years in prison and ordered to pay $1.4 million.

- October 19, 2012 UK Cardiff Matthew Tvrdon Mental Hit and Run Rampage Matthew Tvrdon was believed to be 'psychotic' when he failed to take his medication for paranoid schizophrenia got angry at a woman, and started hitting her and a series of people, many with children or pushing baby strollers for a half hour. He killed Karina Menzies who pushed her children away before Tvrdon hit her, backed up and hit her again, and injured 12 other people. One woman was said to have been dragged underneath the van Tvrdon admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility because he was not taking medications He admitted seven counts of attempted murder and other charges including three counts of grievous bodily harm with intent. Though such attacks would later be typical of terrorist attacks in the UK and France, the judge accepted that Tvrdon's mental illness completely explained the hit and run attacks. He was detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act with a 25-year driving ban.

November 21, 2012 2012 Tel Aviv bus bombing was a mass-injury terror attack on a crowded passenger bus driving in the center of Tel Aviv's business district. The attack was carried out by an Israeli citizen of Arab descent, who remotely detonated an explosive device, which he had hid on the bus in advance. 28 civilians were injured in the attack, among them three who were injured seriously. Thirteen police officers fired at Russell and Williams 137 times while they were in their car at a parking lot of a middle school. In May 2014, one of the officers involved, Michael Brelo, was charged with two counts of voluntary manslaughter, and was acquitted by a Cuyahoga County judge of the charges on May 23, 2015.
