Gurley was found guilty Dec 9, 2013 of murder and criminal mischief and faced a life sentence for the DUI crash on Dixie Highway that killed 61-year-old Gerald Goldsmith.Gurley's brother told the jury his brother was homeless and had fallen in to a depression following the death of his mother and that he was an desperate addict. 52-year-old David F. Gurley rammed his Ford Explorer into the back of a motorcycle stopped for a red light in the center lane of Dixie Hwy. Gurley also struck a Kia, causing the Kia to hit a Jeep. Gurley smelled of alcohol and admitted he had been drinking. Gurley showed "no remorse", he never walked to the front of his vehicle to see the damage that was done, or check on the injured.
Looks like a deliberate accident. Was he recruited on a mission to kill?

Dec 9, 2013 - A Louisville man convicted of murder for a DUI crash that killed a man will spend more than two decades in prison.

Louisville man accused of drunk driving charged with murder
Sunday just before 7:30 p.m. According to an arrest report, 52-year-old David F. Gurley was driving a tan Ford Explorer when he rammed into a back of a motorcyclist who was stopped in the center lane of Dixie Hwy., at the stop light at Blanton Lane. Police say Gurley also struck a Kia, causing the Kia to hit a Jeep. Gurley smelled of alcohol and admitted he had been drinking. His Breath Alcohol Content was .295, according to the arrest report...police say Gurley showed "no remorse" for his alleged crime. The report states that after the accident, a witness saw Gurley step out of his vehicle and demand a light for his cigarette. He never walked to the front of his vehicle to see the damage that was done, or check on the injured, according to the report.
