March 5, 2012 Maryland Fed Ex Truck Rear Ends Flashing Stop School Bus  In Maryland, a FedEx semi-trailer rear ended a school bus that was stopped with flashing lights. The 100 gallon fuel tank of the FedEx truck was leaking, and 3 were injured. In 2014 a FedEx truck crossed the freeway median to hit a charter bus head-on killing 10.

SUNDERLAND, Md. (WUSA) - A Fed Ex truck hit the back of a school bus on Rte. 2 near the Mt. Hope Community Center on Monday afternoon.

  • 3 injured
  • one student and the school bus driver were taken by ambulance to Calvert Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 
  • Three other students on the bus were uninjured. 
  • the school bus was stopped with lights flashing at the time of the accident. 
  • No charges have been filed at this time.
  • The Fed Ex truck had a leaking 100 gallon fuel tank.
