The Navy says a sailor has been found dead in a barracks in Virginia after failing to report for work.

the sailor was found Tuesday at Naval Support Activity Portsmouth Annex. The Navy says in a news release that emergency personnel responded to a report of gunshots in the morning.
The Navy says the grounds to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth were locked down for about 15 minutes, but have been reopened for normal operation
