Talk about a smarty-pants. Dinh Bowman, who reaches all of 5 feet and is only 13 years old, is taking computer classes at Seattle Pacific University and is pulling down a respectable B average.
In addition, the Des Moines boy is an accomplished fencer and will be competing in the national championships next month.
And - yes, there's more - he has his own home page and bulletin board on the World Wide Web.
All of this might be somewhat annoying if it weren't for the fact that Bowman is also pleasant and funny. His home page opens with a close-up picture of him in a full-throttle primal scream, followed by humorous exaggerations about his life.

There is probable cause to believe that ThomasDinh Newsome Bowman committed the -
crime(s) of Murder within the City of Seattle, County of King, State of Washington.
This belief is predicated on the following facts and circumstances:
On August 31, 2012, at about 1925hrs, victim Yancy Noll was driving his vehicle southbound in
the 7500 b1ock_ of 15th Av NE, City of Seattle, County of King, State of Washington. Victim
Noll was stopped at a red light at NE 75u' Street and in a line of traffic. A vehicle, described as a
silver colored BMW convertible, pulled alongside No1l's car and came to a stop. The driver of
this vehicle possessed a and fired what is be1ieved`to be five shots at the victim. Three
of these bullets struck the victim in his head. Other motorists attempted to aid the victim, who .
was mortally wounded. Seattle Police Officers and Seattle Fire Department medics responded to
the scene. Victim Noll was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he was pronounced
dead a short time later.
Evidence at the scene included shattered glass on the roadway in lan area that would have been
between the suspect and victim vehicles. The windows on the victim vehicle driver's door
window were rolled down and intact. Other windows on the driver's side of the victim vehicle
(facing towards the shooter vehicle) were also intact. Investigators at the scene opined the
. shattered glass was most likely from the suspect vehicle. There was damage to the left front
corner panel which included apparent silver/grey paint transfer. Also found at the scene were
tire marks left on the pavement consistent with a vehicle that slid its tires as it sped away._ One
_9mm bullet casing was also found on the roadway just outside the victim vehicle on the driver's
side. One expended bullet was located on the dashboard of the victim vehicle and another bullet
was located inside a nearby residence after it passed through the house window and landed on
the floor. -
On September 2, 2012, an autopsy was conducted at the.ofI*ice of the King County Medical
Examiner. Victim Noll was found to have three bullet entrance wounds in his head. The bullets
were recovered as evidence. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
Further investigation has revealed that the suspect drove southbormd and then eastbound from
the scene. A witness, who was northbound silver 'sports
car' make a quick left turn from southbound 15m Ave NE onto NE 70, cutting off the vehicle
ahead of her moments after the shooting. - .
During subsequent investigation by detectives, a secruity video was reviewed from the Roosevelt
Reservoir (Seattle Public Utilities/Water Department), which is located on the west side of the
street south of NE 75th St1?eet. What appears to ?be a silver BMW Z4 convertible can be seen
speeding away from the scene ofthe shooting. -
On Septerulwer 2012, witnesses hom the shooting scene met with Forensic Artist lionr the
Bellevue Police Department and provided inforrnation to him a composite sketch of the
suspect. A series of police and Crime Stoppers hrilletins were released to the public. These
bulletins contained the composite sketch of the suspect as well as a photo of A silver BMW ZA
convertible similar to the vehicle descrihed hy witnesses as driven by the suspect.

stop sign The driver out slowed to a roximately twenty miles
horn' and then continued eastbound without stopping. 2
stated that as the car wassed, -saw a male with medium complexion and short, dark hair
staring straight ahead. stated that the passenger window was down or possibly missing.
On September 2012 at 8745 PM, an nnottymous caller' telephoned the Seattle Police
T)epav'tment Homicide line and spoke to Detective Torn Mooney. The caller stated -was
unwilling to provide - name or phone number because as afraid the subject would
discover -was the source oi` the information. The caller said had seen the Crime Stoppers
bulletin and stated that the sketch closely resembled Dinh Bowman whom 'described as 'half
Vietnamese and half Caucasian'-also stated that Bowman drove a silver BMW that matched
the description of the suspect vehicle. When asked if-relieved he still owned the vehicle, -
stated that he did as of one year ago. The cnller said that Bowman resided in a residence located
at nd that -believed he still resided at that location. The caller
then told Detective Mooney that the is in close proximity to the scene ofthe shootin
The caller also told Detective Mooney tlrat-drove by the residence earlier in the day and
was surprised that the BMW was not parked in the driveway because Bowman typically parked
car outside the garage, The caller suited that -believed he possessed a lirearm. -was
unable to provide any more detail state whether or not he had at
concealed weapons permit. !aid that -was aware Bowman has acted 'Weird' in the post
and added that he had temper and anger management issues. ->ld Detective Mooney that I
believed he might be capable of committing such tr crime.
Following this phone call, Detective Mooney did a search ofpnliee records and found that Dinh
Newsome lzlowlnarr (DOB i2/O9/1982) had a 2006 BMW Class Roadster Convertible
registered in his name and to the address of he registration for the vehicle is
current and expires in 2013. Ile also found that Bowman ohtnirred a concealed weapons permit
on January 22, 201 l. That permit expires in January of 2016. Records also indicated that
Bowman registered at .40 caliber Glock pistol in November nf 2005. A property Search of
