Zemir Begic, a Bosnian native, confronted a group of teens vandalizing his car and was viciously beaten early Sunday. After she calmly left among screaming patrons, the Emirati in her late 30s drove across town plant a suitcase with a homemade bomb with propane bottles and nails at the home of an Egyptian-American doctor nearby which a child noticed and called police. The attack came  just weeks after the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi warned that an anonymous posting on a jihadist Web site called for the murder of American teachers in the Middle East. The victim's family is convinced she was targeted because she was an American an a teacher, though initally UAE and US officials declined to link the murder to terrorism.  all in Abu Dhabi carried out a "personal terrorist attack" after she was inspired by jihadist websites, where she also learned how to make a homemade bomb, the official United Arab Emirates news agency reported. The suspect was an Emirati citizen of Yemeni origin  named as Dalal al Hashemi. Officials believe she "selected her victims randomly" and targeted anyone who looked foreign, and found no connection to any terrorist groups. Officials believe the suspect who had bomb making materials in her car trunk may have not acted alone, and others were arrested.
