7 injured, driver charged with DUI December 10, 2014 NYC Mustang Goes Berzerk Midtown Hits Cars, Curb, Pedestrians and Forever 21 Store  A silver Ford Mustang convertible went amok at 10 p.m. in the Herald Square shopping district in Manhattan, appearing to either have lost control, or deliberately went into reverse, steered and gunning the gas pedal while hitting several cars before jumping the curb and crashing through a crowd into a Forever 21 storefront window, injuring seven including 5 pedestrians. One witness: "She must have freaked out. She backed up, took off, went around on the other side of the street, went through the intersection, skidded out, fishtailed, then fishtailed again the other way and smacked into all the cars waiting at the light on that side of the street". The Daily News described that the mustang bumped into an SUV. As the driver stepped out to check the damage, the mustang suddenly executed a hit and run by going into reverse, apparently trying to pull a U-turn, then shifting back into drive forward, slamming into the SUV again. It then shot down E. 34 St. the wrong way, stepped on the gas and clipped a car crossing Sixth Ave., before smashing into a Chevy Impala head on, and sending backward into a yellow cab. It seemed to be scripted out of a movie, "skidding like a snake across 34th St” as cab driver Kuljit Singh, 44 feared “She was totally out of control ... I thought we all were going to die.”

One person was pinned against the building; a total of six people were injured, according to the FDNY... crash occurred just before 10 p.m. Angel Aguilar, who walked into the store just 10 seconds before the crash, told us, "The woman that was pinned was saved by the glass window. She flew through it. The glass saved her life." He added, "One man was laying on the far side and he couldn't move." WCBS 2 says the car, a Ford Mustang, hit many other vehicles:“She must have freaked out. She backed up, took off, went around on the other side of the street, went through the intersection, skidded out, fishtailed, then fishtailed again the other way and smacked into all the cars waiting at the light on that side of the street,” said witness Matty Thomas. “Cut across, she jumped the curb, and literally five bodies flying in the air.” Male driver was taken into custody, charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.  TheDaily News has this depiction of the chaos: As the man driving the SUV stepped out to check the damage, the woman threw her car into reverse, apparently trying to pull a U-turn. I thought we all were going to die. “The car came at me like out of a movie. She was skidding like a snake across 34th St.,” said the driver of the yellow cab, Kuljit Singh, 44. “She was totally out of control ... I thought we all were going to die.” Then the convertible jumped the sidewalk, plowing into the pedestrians and smashing through a plate-glass window at the bloody end of the demolition derby. Alternative theory: the car was not under control, the driver clearly stepped on the gas, drove wrong way, went into reverse, tried U-turn, and aimed at the crowd. tags: jumped curb, hit and run, expensive car, out of control, deliberate accident How can anyone believe this car went into reverse, stepped on the gas, U-turned the wrong way, hit several cars, and hit pedestrians and a building was "out of control" after clearly hitting several targets? In Canada a fellow ran over 2 soldiers, and 2 people in Israel ran over a soldier and several civilians, and they knew instantly those cars were not out of control, even before they looked at motives, they scored a bullseye on their targets. Authorities will never figure out a cause for this accident besides DUI.
