Jackson told detectives that he’s schizophrenic and had been off his medication for “about four months.”
After his arrest Jackson was transported to the Seattle Police Homicide Office where, according to charging documents, he told detectives “he recognized the man and woman as being members of a group that was stalking him and trying to kill him. He said he saw the man on the light rail earlier, and that the man pulled out a gun while staring at him. He admitted stabbing them with a folding-blade knife. Such a knife was recovered at the scene.
Charging documents continue:
Jackson admitted the arresting SWAT officers that he was the person who stabbed the victims. He told the officer that the victims had “pulled a Glock on (him) an hour ago and where (sic) with a group that was holding several people hostage in South Seattle. He also told the officer that he had the whole thing on cell phone video, but that he’d thrown the phone over the overpass onto the railroad tracks below.
Also according to charging documents, a witness says that Jackson kept repeating “blood money” while standing over the victims after the stabbing.

The middle of three children, Jackson had done well for himself through hard work, despite a less-than-ideal childhood: His mother, who was mentally ill, was in and out of hospitals for 10 or 15 years before her death at age 49, said his brother, Derrick Jackson, of Salinas, Calif.
“He was always reading and he was very business-oriented,” Derrick Jackson said of his brother. “We don’t have the best family [in terms] of being productive, but he was the one who would be helping people through if they needed a place to stay or needed some money.”

Derrick Jackson suspects he came here to try to re-establish contact with the mother of his young daughter, even though he and his former girlfriend “aren’t on good terms” and she wouldn’t let him see the baby, he said.
  5. ..his brother’s life appeared to begin unraveling around 2010, when Donnell Jackson filed for bankruptcy and his financial situation forced him to leave Las Vegas and move in with their younger sister, a single mom with five kids, in the Sacramento area. Donnell Jackson would disappear for days. He did a bunch of “weird stuff,” like clipping bizarre stories out of tabloid newspapers and talking about people following him and trying to kill him, Derrick Jackson said.
the most trouble he’d ever been in with the law was setting a grass fire near a freeway offramp outside of Sacramento in June 2011.
That August, a judge committed Donnell Jackson to a state mental hospital after finding him incompetent to stand trial for the arson, according to records filed in Sacramento County Superior Court. After his release, he was given credit for the 112 days he’d already served in jail and was sentenced to five years of probation.

English professor, woman stabbed after soccer game in Seattle, http://fxn.ws/16cezBf

A 46-year-old college English professor died Saturday following a seemingly unprovoked and random stabbing attack in downtown Seattle after a Sounders soccer game at Qwest field. Troy Wolff was stabbed in the neck and torso as he tried to defend his 30-year-old girlfriend Kristin Ito who was also attacked Friday night as thousands of people left a soccer game at CenturyLink Field. Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel says the 44-year-old suspect was arrested on the scene, where he was standing near the victims and holding a knife when police arrived. He dropped the knife and was taken into custody without further incident.

It's not a senseless murder if the man was doing this for a political or religious  cause. It does make no sense for a man to do this for his own benefit. It is a two person stabbing version of a mass shooting or suicide bomber. The person only wants to cause harm, and fully expects to be arrested or killed. A lot of crimes and unexplained accidents make sense if there is someone out there would would want to deliberately cause harm for a reason. If the man does not shout his intentions like Major Hasan, it is impossible to prove a motive that only that person know, but we can guess by his actions and target.

Kristin Ito survived an unprovoked attack after a Seattle soccer game, but her heroic boyfriend, Troy Wolff, died hours after being stabbed.Troy Wolff, 46, was remembered as hero by family members, who have already forgiven his suspected killer.
