June 27, 2018 press  Germany Man Investigated in 21 Deaths After Finding Poisoned Sandwich In  the northwestern town of Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock in Germany, police officers arrested a man 56-year-old named as "Klaus O" who may have murdered 21 of his co-workers by poisoning their lunches in a killing spree stretching back to 2000. Police discovered poison-making materials including mercury, lead and cadmium. A man alerted his bosses at the metal-fittings firm after finding white powder on his sandwich which was  lead acetate can cause serious organ damage and death. Security footage showed the attack and the company contacted police. The probe extends to another 21 employees who have died since 2000. Many died of cancer or heart attacks, which could have been caused by heavy metal poisoning, Spiegel Online said. Another two employees are currently in a coma and a third relies on dialysis treatment. The motive was not clear as the suspect remained silent about the allegations [3] The  biggest serial poisoner case is still relating to nurse Niels Högel who could be linked to up to 100 deaths. The earliest known death caused by lead acetate was  Pope Clement II  who died in October 1047 but it remains unclear if he was assassinated. [2]

Conspiracy theory: Russian intelligence isn't the only one killing people mysteriously with poison. How would a random worker even know how to create poisons like this without special training or instructions?
