Is Claudia Patricia Gómez González a Guatemala illegal immigrant Michael Brown unarmed person murdered by police shooting?
May 23, 2018 Matryrdom Of Claudia Patricia Gómez González In a residential area of Rio Bravo, Texas, about a mile from the Mexican border Border Patrol agent responded to a report of illegal activity Wednesday and claimed they were attacked by migrants armed with "blunt objects" described as "two-by-four" pieces of lumber [1] In the encounter, the 15-year veteran agent fired one shot fatally wounding Gomez Gonzalez [2] Gonzalez was seeking to find work in the US as was jobless in Guatemala, and hoped to join her boyfriend, who had made the journey to Alexandria, Va a year earlier. Progressive blogs claim that the US Customs and Border Patrol lied when they claimed Claudia Patricia Gómez González was armed and she assaulted an officer. [3] as Marta Martínez posted a cell-phone video of the aftermath. After she saw no two-by-fours in the area, the agency changed its story to claim the agent fired his gun after being “rushed” by the group she was in.
The Nation charged it was the latest killing by a rogue agency whose abuses must be stopped. Americans are right to be horrified by the murder at the hands of a federal border agent and just like Blacks Lives Matters demand justice for Ms. Gómez Gonzalez’s family. Investigation by The Guardian found that 97 killings since 2003 by CBP agents, mostly from bullet wounds and sometimes as in shootings of unarmed black men, shots to the back, and six were children [4] Progressive Truthout concludes that Claudia was simply murdered shot in the head for just trying to cross the border with 3 others to find work [5] Resident Marta Martinez captured a viral video of the deadly aftermath after hearing gunshots shouting: “Why do you mistreat them? Why did you shoot the girl? You killed her! He killed the girl. She’s there! She’s dead! She contradicted the official narrative as she didn’t see any weapons or agent commands. The newspaper of the communist American Worker's World party decared that "Border Patrol murder" was denounced as community and immigrant rights activists at Washington, D.C., headquarters of Customs and Border Patrol demanded "justice" [5] Dan Moshenberg associate professor at George Washington University linked the killing to the struggle in Palestine as on June 2, Claudia Patricia Gómez González was buried, Israeli soldiers shot Palestine medic Razan al-Najjar and killed her. Both were 20 years old from "militarized border to militarized border, slaughter of the innocents is the order of the day. The torture and murder of young unarmed women trying to make the world a better place is our contemporary fearful symmetry"[3]
