If it was a robbery, why did they kill him first? A lot of famous rising musicians have been killed mysteriously lately.

June 18, 2018, Rapper XXXTentacion Killed in Robbery Or Assasination Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy went to the bank in an attempt to withdraw money before heading to RIVA Motorsports, an upscale seller of motorcycles and boats.[2]Authorities believe there may have been up to three cars following Onfroy before he entered RIVA Motorsports.[3] After leaving the motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Onfroy entered his black BMW i8[4] before being shot by two assailants in a dark-colored SUV in an apparent robbery.[5] as witnesses told police the suspects took a Louis Vuitton bag from his vehicle. His family and those close to the artist claim he was targeted for murder, and investigators should be looking for who would want him dead.[1]

Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, an American rapper better known as XXXTentacion, was fatally shot on June 18, 2018, in an apparent robbery in Deerfield Beach, Florida.[1]



Events

On June 18, 2018, Onfroy went to the bank in an attempt to withdraw money before heading to RIVA Motorsports, an upscale seller of motorcycles and boats.[2]Authorities believe there may have been up to three cars following Onfroy before he entered RIVA Motorsports.[3]
After leaving the motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Onfroy entered his black BMW i8[4] before being shot by two assailants in a dark-colored SUV in an apparent robbery.[5] Witnesses told police the suspects took a Louis Vuitton bag from his vehicle. TMZ was the first to report Onfroy being shot.[6]
The shooting occurred east of the city of Parkland; the suspects fled the scene.[7][8] The Broward County Fire Department rushed him to Broward Health North.[9]Onfroy was initially reported to be in critical condition following the shooting,[10] and the Broward County Sheriff's Office later confirmed his death.[11]

Investigation

As of June 20, 2018, the Broward County Sheriff's Office has made no arrests in the case and has offered $3,000 bounty for any information leading to the arrest of any suspects.[12] Many have speculated that rappers Soldier Kidd and Soldier JoJo were the perpetrators, though they both denied any involvement.[12]

Aftermath

Following the announcement of Onfroy's murder, a makeshift memorial was quickly created by fans and local residents, consisting of lyrics from the artist and words of remembrance written in chalk stretching up to a hundred yards. The owner of RIVA Motorsports, where Onfroy was killed, held a vigil on June 19, 2018.[13] Hundreds gathered during the vigil and Broward County Sheriffs were forced to close the street.[2] Shortly after, a walk commenced between Onfroy's fans in support of gun control.[2] Onfroy's new house in Parkland, Florida was also memorialized by fans.[14] Onfroy's team issued a statement saying a proper memorial service will be arranged soon.[15]
Adam Grandmaison (better known as Adam22), the creator of the podcast No Jumper where Onfroy had his first professional interview, held a memorial at his BMX retail store ONSOMESHIT on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles to a crowd of 300 people.[16] The crowd eventually grew to over 1,000 and police in riot gear eventually appeared with police en route to disperse the crowd.[17][18] According to reports, rubber bullets were shot.[19]
Celebrities and artists on social media such as Kanye West, J. Cole, Juicy J, Diplo, Diddy, Travis Barker and YBN Nahmir among others reacted with condolences to the family.[20][21] Rapper Juice WRLD released a two-song tribute EP dedicated to Onfroy and recently deceased rapper Lil Peep.[22][23] Frequent collaborators and close friends such as Joey Bada$$, Denzel Curry (whom Onfroy lived with for a short period) and Robb Banks publicly mourned on social media.[24]
Ski Mask the Slump God, who Onfroy referred to as a "brother", paid tribute to Onfroy on Instagram[25] and posted a tribute video which showed Ski Mask and Onfroy's music collective, Members Only, first concert in outside of Florida in Denver, Colorado, in 2016.[26] He also proposed to take over a charity event that Onfroy was organizing.[27][28]
