November 4, 2013 Garden State Plaza New Jersey Mall Shooting In Paramus New Jersey, Richard Shoop, 20, of Teaneck, N.J., entered the Garden State Plaza shopping mall clothed in black in a ballistic vest wearing a motorcycle helmet near closing time at 9 p.m. firing shots before his body was recovered where he evidently shot himself.

He had a gun which looked like an AK-47 assault rifle which was legally owned by probably stolen from his brother he said. As Shoop roamed the mall, confronting shoppers, he fired at least six shots though there were no other injuries. Bullets were fired into an escalator, into an elevator area. A shotgun was recovered and an abandoned backpack. There was some property of retailers that was struck — a facade area — and there were a couple of shots that were shot apparently at security cameras. Police took employees and shoppers to be patted down by a SWAT team before they were escorted outside by armed officers. Kenya mall attackers also destroyed security cameras.

February 25, 2014 Police released information that suspect Richard Shoop was under investigation for a drug probe, and had been arrested six months before for selling a pure form of ecstasy.

Hackensack police released the information about Richard Shoop on Tuesday along with details of a large-scale drug sweep in northern New Jersey.

Investigators say Shoop had sold MDMA to an undercover officer 10 days before he opened fire inside the Garden State Plaza in Paramus last November. No one else was hurt.

Police say a note found after the shooting indicated Shoop knew he was under investigation...s Shoop had also been arrested six months earlier for selling the pure form of ecstasy, known as "Molly."

Shoop left an ambiguous note with his family that raised concern, however. Molinelli would not call it a suicide note, but he said it did “express that an end is coming. It could have been prison. ... It could have been what he did last night. It gave his family reason to reach out to us.”
Gov. Chris Christie called the shooting a wakeup call for lawmakers to focus on mental health issues as part of a comprehensive effort to reduce gun violence.
“Obviously that young man went there to end his own life. We may not be that lucky next time,” Christie said. “We need to get to the root causes of what drives a young man like that to drive to Garden State Plaza in that condition.”
investigators were still trying to determine why he went there.

This is a remarkable video. Someone filmed this on their cell phone. You see patrons of the Paramus mall where they shooting took place last night slowly walking to the exits while some you can hear laughing in the background. Not at all the Hindenberg moment the newscaster tries to make it out to be while showing the video.
    .

    .
Whatever it was or was not, the video below doesn’t show patrons running for their lives or hiding out in storerooms like the MSM is presenting the events. In fact, it’s seems more like some kind of stunt that was pulled and the customers figured it out pretty quick.
    .
Check out this witness who says the guy in the helmet was with 4 other men when he entered the mall and that he wasn’t shooting at people, but rather cameras near the ceiling.
    .

    .
Is it just my Adobe Flash settings, or does the volume drop out of this video just as he is talking about the shooter targeting video cameras (1:08 mark)
This video has the full audio and the witness claims the shooter was having a “conference” with the 4 other guys just before walking through the mall, shooting cameras.
    .

    .
The witness, Johnny Jimenez, said he saw the shooter hold a conference with the 4 guys he came in with near the Apple store and then start walking through the mall shooting cameras. He also claimed he saw weapons in those guy’s hand as well.

nitially recalled September’s tragedy at a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya, where an attack claimed by Somalia’s Al Qaida-linked Shebab killed at least 67 people.
It was the latest in the epidemic of gun violence plaguing the United States.
On Friday a gunman opened fire at Los Angeles airport and killed a Transportation Security Administration agent.
The FBI said he was carrying a note saying he planned to kill multiple officers. The 23-year-old suspect faces a possible death penalty on charges of murdering a federal officer.
On October 24, a US soldier who opened fire at a Tennessee recruiting centre after being reprimanded for misconduct was indicted on attempted murder charges.
Three members of the Tennessee National Guard were struck in the crossfire but none suffered serious injuries.
The October 24 shooting came a month after a massacre left 13 people dead, including the gunman, at a major Navy facility in Washington, D.C. The gunman was shot dead.
A shooting spree at four homes and a gas station in Texas left five people dead and a suspect in custody on October 29.
And in a particularly alarming case, an 11-year-old US student appeared in court on October 24 on suspicion of attempted murder after bringing a handgun and 400 rounds of ammunition into school.
In the latest in a spate of incidents in US schools, the boy also allegedly brought “multiple” knives to the Frontier Middle School in Vancouver, in Washington state.
That same week police in California shot and killed a 13-year-old boy who was carrying a pellet gun that officers said looked like an assault rifle.

Kids with BB guns, I'm not too worried about that unless they use their playmates or neighborhood cats for target practice.”

“The SWAT teams that greater frightened shoppers with their guns pointed at them was more traumatizing to the patrons than the gunmen who aimed and shot at no one.

The police are militarized and see things as them against the citizens. It's their own safety thats paramount.

Why in the world is it OK for them to train their rifles at hundreds of citizens and treat them as suspects?

Is this standard operating procedure? Is this what they're taught to do in order to protect themselves?

That is where the outrage should be.

If a citizen were to point a rifle at another citizen he'd be arrested and thrown in jail.”

    AEkland on Nov 5, 2013 at 12:39:13

“The police have sold out and really aren't the police any more; they're a private security company for the entitled; that's corporate rich and politicians only. We only get to supply the pay in their paychecks.
