January 14, 2016 "We have to stop treating this pattern as the isolated actions of lone wolves They are a pack" Freebeacon Rise in U.S. Terror Plots Tied to ‘Unprecedented’ Spike in Immigration Cruz: ‘Political correctness’ fueling failure to address U.S. security flaws BY: Adam Kredo efforts by Congress to investigate the immigration histories of at least 113 foreign-born individuals snagged on terror charges since 2014 have been blocked by the Obama administration. There are at least 1,000 open investigations into ISIS members residing in the United States, sources said. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), who has been spearheading an effort to investigate how these individuals are passing through U.S. security screenings. “Almost every day there is a new case that documents the relentless attacks being waged against our nation,” said Cruz. “We have militants who have infiltrated waves of refugees to come to American and plot attacks. We have Americans who have travelled abroad to train returning to wage jihad here. We have home-grown terrorists who are receiving instruction online to hatch attacks.” “We have to stop treating this pattern as the isolated actions of lone wolves,” Cruz added. “They are a pack.”
January 13, 2016 Terror Expert: There's No Such Thing as 'Lone Wolf' Terrorism most jihadist activity since 9/11 Counterterrorism expert Dr. Sebastian Gorka blasted President Obama for last night appearing to downplay the threat of ISIS, saying that the president “is living in a fantasyland” while jihadist activity in America soars.Obama said that ISIS does “not threaten our national existence.” “No ‘existential threat’? Really?” said Gorka. “Ask the 6 million people who now live on ISIS territory. Ask the people who’ve been decapitated, crucified, or burnt alive. Ask the people who went to that Christmas party in San Bernardino.”...his FBI sources “are adamant – in the last calendar year, in 2015, we had more jihadist activity in America than we have ever seen since 9/11.”
Jan 8, 2016 A pack of lone wolves The current wave of violence can no longer be seen as the work of isolated "lone wolves" The first phenomenon is that the majority of attacks have been carried out by lone terrorists, devoid any official affiliation or chain of command.... this wave of terrorism has remained the work of lone wolves. While overall, the majority of Palestinians are not party to terrorism, it is becoming more difficult to speak of the current surge in violence as the work of "lone wolves." To quote a colleague, we are dealing with "a pack of lone wolves," which is limited in scope.

October 14, 2014 Bodio S. Hutchinson Attacks Boston Park Rangers 4:30 p.m. two national park rangers went to the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on the Boston Common park after a report of Bodio S. Hutchinson, a black homeless man was there with a knife. The rangers used pepper spray with no effect, as Hutchinson allegedly lunged, stabbing each ranger about five times and severing an artery in one ranger’s abdomen who was in critical condition. The rangers are not police officers and do not carry guns. Police chased the suspect into the Public Garden, threw a knife into the pond, and turned on officers and crouched as if to attack shouting “Shoot me, shoot me,” before he was tackled and handcuffed. Suspect pleaded not guilty to charges including armed assault with intent to murder. His lawyer says he “suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and has no memory of the attack”, and was raised by an alcoholic and abusive father, failed by his family, and left to fend for himself at a young age. It was only the latest in a long series of history of bizarre and violent attacks on strangers and law enforcement including episodes of savage biting, with 17 convictions even more arrests as of 2013. Many blamed the attack on the failure of the mental health system and support for black families.

Yet another jihadist lone wolf is Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, also known as Hesham Mohamed Ali.
Hadayet was born in Egypt and entered the United States in 1992; ten years later, on July 4, 2002, he pulled a gun and opened fire at the El Al Israel Airlines ticket counter at LAX, killing two people and wounding several others before an airline security guard shot him. When authorities later went
to Hadayet’s apartment, they found a note on the door saying, “Read the Koran.” It should be noted that U.S. authorities did not consider Hadayet’s attack an act of terrorism, but rather an isolated incident by a mentally deranged individual.8 This raises an important question: How many other
politically inspired terrorist incidents conducted by lone wolves have been written off as isolated incidents?
