St Thomas Students Hit And Run By Mazda in St Paul

Sunday November 24, 2013 St Thomas Students Hit And Run By Mazda in St Paul At 2 a.am, two University of St. Thomas students were hit by a car as they left a cab. Rebekka L. Peterson and Nicholas Bergeland of Wayzata were listed in critical condition. Police were called when a 2013 Mazda 3 was found with damage matching parts found at the crime scene. A 40 year old St Paul woman Latocha Thomas was arrested. She had been cited five times for failing to carry proof of insurance and once failing to stop at a stop sign. It was the third recent hit-and-run in which the driver has not been caught, including Therese "Tracy" Klotz, 53 who died after being struck by a Lexus.
