Palo in Leyte Province is among many areas that were hit stunningly hard by Typhoon Haiyan, leaving at least 130 dead and residents looting to survive.
Basically no houses were left in Brgy. Candahug in Palo after the typhoon, reported ABS-CBN on Wednesday.
The death toll increased to 130, and almost all (all but 3%) of the 983 members of the Eastern Visayas police forced based in Palo are missing.
A huge storm surge hit the police headquarters. A source said that only 34 police officers have reported for duty so far.
