1 killed 1 arrested April 13, 2015 Wayne Community College shooting Kenneth Morgan Stancil allegedly shot his former print-shop supervisor Ron Lane in the bathroom with a shotgun at the student center where he worked at the print shop. Stancil has a face covered in white supremacist style tatoos. He was a former welding student who had been fired from his work study job. He fled by motorcyle and was later spotted sleeping on the beach in Dayotona Beach Florida. He told the judge that he was glad he killed a man who had molested a member of  his family, and his mother said he had been sexually harassed by Lane who was gay. Police are investigating whether it might have been a hate crime directed against LGBT persons.

Suspect in NC college shooting nabbed sleeping on Daytona Beach Florida The man wanted in the deadly shooting at a community college in North Carolina has been arrested in Florida, police said Tuesday. Kenneth Stancil, 20, was found Stancil early Tuesday illegally sleeping on the beach. But Lane and Stancil were linked by the suicides of people very close to them. Lane's partner of 12 years killed himself last year. Stancil's mother says her son never recovered after finding his father in the backyard after he had killed himself in 2009.
