Leah O’Brien, a teacher at Lakeside High School in Decatur, was traveling with her 8-year-old daughter and making a turn when a car coming the opposite way hit her vehicle. The 33-year-old died on the scene, and her daughter was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police arrested Ramiro Pedemonte, 19. Student was charged with first degree vehicular homicide, serious injury by vehicle and reckless driving. Pedemonte and his 18-year-old passenger are both Lakeside High School students.
