His car was spotted and he fled into the woods with police in pursuit and a gunshot was heard.

The suspect or suspects drove the bucket loader to the area of BJ's Entiat and used it to demolished the Cashmere Valley Bank building that contains an ATM. They destroyed the ATM in the process, but they removed the vault that contains the money. Cashmere Valley Bank estimated the damage to be at least $50,000, which does not include the money that was in the ATM vault.  6 hours later o Bob's Apple Barrel video showed two subjects arriving on motorcycles at around 3:00 a.m. They broke into the office and attempted to steal a safe, but were unsuccessful.
