October 16, 2014 $1M Bond For Strip Club Stabbing Suspects Boise Weekly  Boise Police rushed to the scene on the 1800 block of West Main Street after receiving a call of a stabbing at the strip club. Philip Law, 30, and Parley Ward, 32 are charged with murder and aggravated battery. After a fight, the two men reportedly had left the club and drove around the block before returning. That's when prosecutors said the two were involved in the fatal stabbing of one victim and a knife attack on a second victim.

October 16, 2014 Erratic minivan driver dead after screaming girl flees Virginia I-64 traffic stop Staunton News Leader  A Virginia State Police Trooper initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 64 leading to shots being exchanged moments after a girl ran screaming from the vehicle. The driver of the minivan died at the scene. The green Ford Windstar minivan was travelling erratically, in a reckless weaving manner in the eastbound lanes between Interstate 81 and the Fishersville exit shortly after 7:30 p.m. Thursday, which prompted the trooper to initiate the traffic stop."The van pulled over at the 89 mile marker and as trooper walked up to vehicle, as he was talking to the driver of the vehicle and obtaining the drivers identification, the driver displayed a weapon.  a juvenile female passenger jumps out of the van screaming. The trooper then runs up to her, to her side, brings her back the patrol car to safety and at that point gun shots were heard, shots were fired. The driver of the minivan died at the scene."

October 16, 2014 Iowa boy and mother arrested for bomb making house In Iowa, Pocahontas county a teacher found a  youth researching bomb making on a school computer, his house is found to have enough explosives to blow up a 2 story building, and house is condemned because it has so many materials. He had made no specific threats. Officials evacuated Pocahontas High School Thursday afternoon, where the teen is a student, as a precaution. No explosive devices were found on school property but the investigation led to a search warrant for the student's house. 17. 1 killed 2 arrested October 16, 2014 Police arrest 2 men in fatal stabbing in downtown Portland The Oregonian Adam Lawrence Elder, 23, and Wesley Lawrence Curtis, 18, are suspected in the death of Marc Sundin, whose body was found collapsed on the sidewalk, dying from a stab wound to the chest. Sundin was last seen leaving on the 15th and worked as a chef. Sundin is believed to have stumbled through Lownsdale and Chapman squares before collapsing across the street from Portland's City Hall. Both suspects are homeless white men.

Last Thursday the carefree walk took a bizarre turn as they passed two "sketchy" looking men pass them. They noticed parachute cord stretched across the trail, but the dog stepped on it, and the line went slack. They later returned to investigate and found it was a trip wire attached to an improvised pipe gun. Bomb squad described as an improvised firearm loaded with a shotgun shell that failed to fire. Appears to be an accident due to error as train was travelling too fast to brake and communications was difficult.

They already have a 6-year-old daughter together. The couple had been dating for 10 years – since she was 12 and he was 14,... During an Oct. 17 court appearance, prosecutors said 32-year-old Parley Ward and 35-year-old Phillip Law had been involved in a fight at the Torch Lounge on Oct. 16. The two men reportedly had left the club and drove around the block before returning. That's when prosecutors said the two were involved in the fatal stabbing of one victim and a knife attack on a second victim. Ward has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery. Law is charged with aiding and abetting first-degree murder and aiding and abetting aggravated battery.

Before the attack, Tanouye was heard shouting something incomprehensible and his mother told a flight attendant he suffers from depression and is on medication. He stood up to walk around and appeared calm, telling flight attendants he was going to visit his grandmother. Flight attendants agreed not to serve him alcohol because he was on medication. After the incident, Tanouye's mother gave him a dose of his medicine and he fell asleep

Alexander Nuehring, of Mankato, faces multiple charge in connection with the incident, which authorities say happened early Saturday morning in a dormitory on the Minnesota State University-Mankato campus.  Suspect told police he had no intention of sexually assaulting the woman but said if he went into her room and found money, it would be "awesome." He said he did not know why he did it, other than the allure of getting away with it

October 15, 2014 WA shooting spree targets 3 police departments, two sergeants injured - CBS News Initially, an unoccupied patrol car was shot at the Granite Falls Police Department,  then shots were fired at the nearby Lake Stevens Police Department. No one was hurt in those two shootings, then gunfire erupted in Marysville area where officers had been looking for a white pickup truck. Mackenzie Harris, 17, of Marysville, told a local station that she was outside with a friend when she saw officers pull over a pickup truck. The truck driver then pulled out a gun and started shooting. Investigators found several guns in and near the truck driven by the suspect. No obvious motive for the suspect to declare a war on 3 local police departments.
